I was a big fan of the Kung-Fu series in the mid 70's. Sad to see his life end in that way.

Same here. Also loved him in Kill Bill and enjoyed his narrative work on the history channel.

Freaky and sad.

One of the movies I remember growing up was The Long Riders with the Carradine, Keach, and Quaid brothers all playing legendary villains from the old west.

I almost (*almost*) hate to go here, but he hanged himself while there to work on a movie called Stretch? 8O

They are calling it a suicide, but him being half-naked with a rope around his neck and 'other body parts' makes me wonder if he was auditioning for INXS.

All jokes aside, sad to hear.

Indeed, another part of my childhood passes on.

The police are saying it was "accidental," and he had rope tied around other body parts than just his neck. Sounds like a case of autoerotic asphyxiation gone bad. Really sad news about a tremendous actor.

Such a crazy way to go. I had a classmate in college go that way (plastic bag vs hanging). I felt so bad for his parents in so many ways. Out of courtesy to his parents, the police ruled it 'accidental' with no other details in the paper. 21 years old & to die (and be found) that way was a lot for everyone to grasp...

At 72, it's amazing it didn't catch up to DC sooner.

good riddance! Made his whole career doing yellowface! If he did blackface he'd be roped up. But Hollywood hated Asians then and took away the role from Bruce lee and gave it to this fool. Was probably being serviced by some underage Thai girl when he had his sex accident. Derserves what he got.
