I agree! These conference finals have been some of the best I have ever seen. Great games, all of them!lexbur wrote:Man, what a great couple of Conference Finals series these are shaping up to be! Good stuff!!!
It's amazing what Carmelo can do when he lays off the weed.

I hear ya brother, but I think I'm pulling for Orlando. Something about that Cleveland bunch isn't too likeable. I am amazed by Turgolu (spel?)lexbur wrote:Must win tonight, I'm stressin'!
If Mo Williams makes HALF of those wide-open shots he missed, nobody would be talking about how we don't match up well with Orlando.
He looks like a big lug out there but he gets it done. Zero flash, zero athleticism...but he can out the ball thru the hoop!

Funny you say that. When Cavs were steaming rolling through the first 2 rounds, some writers predict that if Cav win it all, his likelihood of leaving would be higher since he accomplished something there and now free to go.JackB1 wrote:If Clev loses, I think Lebron will look elsewhere.wco81 wrote:This would be a big letdown if Lebron at least doesn't get to the Finals, after just about everything went well during the regular season.
Might convince him that he just can't win it all while in Cleveland.
Now the caves are falling in and he might bolt.
In short, we all think he is leaving Cleveland sooner or later (for that highest paid athlete moniker).

Another amazing finish! What a series!
Lebron has to stop trying to get the foul so much and focus more on making baskets at crunch time. Seemed to me like he was preoccupied with getting fouled most of the time in the last qtr and OT. I thought the refs did an outstanding job in that game. Lots of "non-calls" which were correct this time.
Cleveland's only win came on a miracle 3 by Lebron or this thing would be 4-0 sweep by Orlando.

Nike is going to press him even more now to leave Cleveland.
Cleveland needs to sign an Ariza type, a 6-5 or greater athletic defender who could also knock down 3s.
They also need another big scorer at the 2, 3 or 4 who's a threat to finish at the rim. Williams should strictly be a spot-up shooter but they don't need both him and that other small 3-point shooter.

The past two weeks have marked my return to watching the NBA. These are the first (almost) full games I've seen since probably 2005. What first drew me in was the Celtics-BUlls series. After 4 dramatic games I finally decided to tune in.
I've watched most of the conference final games. My biggest hangup with the NBA was the offciating. There are still some issues, and I still hate how no player ever thinks he has ever committed a foul, but it does seem better than a few years ago. At least I'm seeing no-calls and offensive fouls from time to time. I am surprised that I've been this drawn to the NBA right now. I won't complain though. I'll just roll with it since it has been keeping me entertained.
I am rooting for the Nuggets and Magic. I am already sick of Kobe & LeBron and would love to see some fresh faces make the finals.

Heh, sounds like they need to replacing the starting 4 besides LeBron.wco81 wrote:Nike is going to press him even more now to leave Cleveland.

I know I'm in the minority but I'm still holding out hope, even though everyone around here has given up. People in my office think I'm nuts.
The way I see it, Orlando's playing at the very top of their game and the Cavs (with the exception of LeBron) are playing like crap, and even considering that, three of the games have been extremely close, could have gone either way.
Game 5 - I like our chances at home, I know LeBron's not going to let any of his teammates throw in the towel. And another thing I know for sure, Orlando's NOT going to hit 17 threes.
Game 6 - All the pressure will be on Orlando, plus the Cavs are getting closer and closer to getting a win down there.
Game 7 - We could only hope!
(I know, I'm dreamin')

Cmon and join me and the Hawks at the golf course!!!

Seriously though, I don't think home/away has mattered much in this series. But the Cav's need to win 3 in a row to get it done and that will be tough! BUT......and here's the x-factor....Howard gets one more tech and he's out (is that right?), so they should instigate him all night long. That is their best chance. No Howard down low and it's a whole new game for Cleveland.
LOL! I know, Jack, I need to let it go, but I can't. This was supposed to be our year.JackB1 wrote:

Forget about three wins in a row, for now they just need to win tomorrow, and I think they can do it. Howard getting suspended one game would definitely help.

The Suns came back from 3-1 a few years ago...so keep your head up (even though I hope the Cavs lose just to prove all of the "experts" wrong).lexbur wrote:LOL! I know, Jack, I need to let it go, but I can't. This was supposed to be our year.JackB1 wrote:

That glass is half full my friend. The sheer fact that cleveland is getting bounced nearly assures LA in the final. Imagine a magic v nuggets final. The nba will never have itwco81 wrote:Same could be said of the Lakers.greggsand wrote:Well, the cleveland "glass half full" = the games have been so close, cleveland could easily be UP 3 to 1. Problem is Lebron is scoring something like 40% of his team's points in the playoffs. During the reg season, it was more like 28%.lexbur wrote:

The rest of the cav's are watching Lebron too much. He can't do it all.
