Should be a good series. I'm sure the Hawks will put up a little more of a fight than Detroit did, which isn't saying much. Detroit played like all they were concerned with was reserving their tee times.
I'm a little worried about the long layoff. I guess we'll see tomorrow night.
I think the Hawks best chance to steal one in Cleveland will be Game 1.
Cav's might be a little rusty and take the Hawks for granted. Big question will be will Cleveland be able to win 1 in ATL? If not, it may go 7.
Yeah, they were a little rusty in the first half, but it was fun watching them shake off that rust in the second half. The defense really clamped down and they moved the ball around alot better, got everybody involved in the offense.
The first half was too much LeBron playing 1-on-5. They usually get in trouble when that happens, but we'll cut him some slack this time, he was obviously stoked after getting that MVP award in front of the Cleveland fans. Heck, they did just as well, if not better, as a team when he was on the bench.
By the way, what a classy move by LeBron announcing that award at his high school, not forgetting where he came from and the people who helped him along the way. I guess the NBA is now thinking about doing that more often, instead of just doing it at the team's practice facility.

The Hawks played a great 1st half but then collapsed in the second. So many turnovers and bad possesions. Joe Johnson was invisible. Bibby and Smith showed up, but nobody else did.
Hawks are just embarrasing with these road blowouts. I will be shocked now if it isn't a sweep. We now have 3 of our 5 starters injured (Horford, Williams and now Johnson). We have zero chance now.
Lebron is very talented, but he is losing points with me now with his antics on the bench. He acts like a little kid. Carrying on and falling all over everyone because someone won a jump ball. C'mon! Show a little class.
And what about all the non calls against Lebron? The star treatment he gets is unreal. He barrels full speed into Josh Smith in the 1st quarter and Smith gets the foul. Even the announcers couldn't believe it.
The way that link spread through our office yesterday, everybody around here was loving it. But, you might be right, it probably does suck, you can't go by us, we're way too giddy right now, any mention of LeBron brings a smile to all our faces.
You wouldn't think Orlando or a beat-up Celtics would provide much challenge to the Cavs.
But I don't know that they're unbeatable. They may be peaking too early or they've played teams in the first two rounds didn't really compete after losing the first two games.
In fact, Cavs would be vulnerable to teams with good 2s or 3s, unless they want to put James on the opponents' best-scorers for most of the game.
Right now though, they don't appear to have the vulnerabilities that the Lakers have shown.
A couple of weeks from now, these perceptions could flip over.
Oh well, I didn't expect us to beat the Lebron Cav's.....Sorry, I mean the Cleveland Cav's. Mo Williams was a great pickup for them, but they still are very topheavy with Lebron. If he goes down with an injury, they don't have a chance. I thought Atlanta showed some improvement at home the past 2 games, but still not enough to win. Lebron is a game changer and the Hawks don't have anyone to counter that or do the same. Joe Johnson is a nice complimentary player, but he isn't someone you can rely to heavily on. The Hawks still need some work to compete at an elite level and a new coach IMO to get to the next level. Should be in interesting offseason.
Yeah, it's been an enjoyable ride so far, but it doesn't feel like they've won anything yet. Nothing against your Hawks, but they've got bigger fish to fry. You can definitely feel it building though, this whole town is just waiting to explode! Heck, I'm 42 and no Cleveland team has ever won anything in my lifetime.
I know that my beloved Celtics are gonna get run over by the Cavs if they advance, but I just love seeing the Magic and their a-hole coach choke away this series.

Same here. The Eastern Conf Finals for all intents and purpose is Celtics' final destination. It just feels like Cavs' year and I do hope they beat the fakers.

I just wish the Cav's would be a little more humble while they are kicking some teams butt. All the carrying on the bench is doing is very annoying.
Nothing like laughing at your opponent while you are stomping on them.
ACT like winners......not kids at the playground.
I don't know, Jack, compared to all that off-the-court ugliness that went on during the Denver/Dallas series, what the Cavs are doing is not even an issue. Just a bunch of kids having some fun.

Yeah, I honestly don't see anything wrong with having fun, specially if your doing it on your bench. They do sometimes act like they've never seen a dunk.
But hey, KG hangs around my Celts bench so I can't really point any fingers. They sign he kept making during the C's comeback, the little finger steps on his hands, just hilarious. He's insane.
Wow, what a game last night! I was so surprised to see Lebron dish it off on that last play, instead of taking it up himself. And then that shot off the jump ball almost went in!
Holy s*** that was a clutch shot. And I missed seeing it live cause I changed channels after Orlando went up by 2 and the timeout was shorter than I thought it would be.
Despite that shot, Cavs are in trouble. They really have no defense for Turkolu or Lewis. If Orlando doesn't give up big leads in the first half, they may be winning these games by 10 points.
Imagine what Kobe or Carmelo would do against Cleveland.
Lakers and Magic both have great athletic perimeter defenders, something which the Nuggets and Cavs lack. Pietrus wasn't giving up anything easy to LeBron in the last 6 minutes of the game.
