Jared just wanted to make sure that you noticed the personal attack here. I was once guilty of doing this to Tim and got chastised for it and rightly so.

Yet another thread about to be ruined by Jrod. Sadly Tiger Woods discussion will end up with politics.

Just for the record Divot has not come across as a shill in fact just the opposite he's been low key because of his NDA with EA. I can empathically state that was the case last year as well.

He has also tried to update us with as much information as he possibly can. The First person to mention the PC version coming out.

Me and Divot now see eye to eye because he does everything he can in his position to help the devs make a better, more realistic game. A game that traditionalists can enjoy.

You didn't read tim. I said I don't think TP has appeared in years. For some reason I thought TP was on the PC long time ago. I may be thinking of Links however. Banff I said never appeared. So I was off by one.
I didn't?
JRod wrote:By new, they mean courses that weren't in 09. Out of the "new" courses I think on Banff hasn't made an appearance in years.
Banff has NEVER been in TW. What part of that quote did I not read? Torrey and Bethpage have never appeared in TW for the 360/PS3 nor Wii. therefore, they are new to those platforms. You want to keep going?
JRod wrote:When you are the shill boy for Tiger it pisses me off you come in here and put spin to everything on Tiger. EA gets courses that has majors in that year, which is fine. Then they take the game off off for whatever reasons, fees, upgrade, disk space whatever. But when a course doesn't appear for a few years, technically it's new that year, because the marketing people say it's new. Bethpage Black was in the 02 version, or around that version. Problem is this practice is accepted by the consumer and doesn't really hurt EA. When Links left the scene, they had quite a good library for that game. EA's library consistently hovers on the low side of things. It's a different time but if you think about the courses are rehashes like TPC and St. Andrew but you have to put them in the game. So they get upgrades. Then you through in a few new ones. And maybe take a few out for the reasons I listed above.
Shill boy for Tiger? I guess you don't pay too much attention to the Tiger threads here or in the past several years. I have openly criticized EA for a number of things regarding the TW franchise. Want me to link you to those comments? I have also agreed with many OBJECTIVE criticisms from others, including YOU. In this particular case, you really do not have a leg to stand on because you quite frankly do not know what you are talking about. Your comments above document this lack of knowledge quite nicely. It really is a shame when you resort to name-calling when others disagree with your opinion OR disagree with you backed up with facts. You really don't have to do this to express your opinion....

EA's library hovers on the low side of things? Hmm, lets see.....HSG for the PS3 shipped with SIX NON-LICENSED courses and has 2 DLC NON-LICENSED courses. Links 2004 shipped with 8 or 9 courses (most if not all of them licensed, but few were PGA TOUR courses). Links 2003 for PC shipped with SIX courses, one of which was a ridiculous fantasy course. And EA's library hovers on the "low side"? Please don't try to justify a response, you will only dig yourself in deeper....
JRod wrote:Still, in my opinion the library from EA could be better and should be better.
Opinion noted.....

Agreed!... All Divot has done is make very informative posts about a sports game on a sports game forum.

Calling DivotMaker a shill for EA is completely out of line. First off, his contributions to this forum have been vastly more informative rather than editorial. For a person who works for EA and takes a good deal of pride in his work I think he is actually very reserved with his posts. Second, I really doubt a so-called shill would bother spending his time on a small forum that has a limited readership, and whose members for the most part are going to buy TW anyway. I admit, I typically buy the PSP version and a console version of TW every year, but I still enjoy reading DivotMaker's insight and updates. I have never really felt that he has misrepresented the game in his posts.

The whole bit about courses is laughable. Jrod is completely lost in speaking on that topic. It's amazing some of the crap people can find to gripe about.

Hey Guys,

Thanks for the kind comments. I really appreciate them and I am relieved that you perceive me the way I intend to be perceived. Thank you again.

Toon,

I am actually not an EA employee. I am a TW Community Leader and EA Sports Tiger forum moderator, both volunteer duties. Thank you again for the feedback...it is refreshing to hear that some of my time spent here is helping others discuss TW and make decisions to purchase or not purchase the game. All I want is what you guys want, the best Golf game experience that can be released. Your feedback is very well thought of and I do express many of the comments and features to the EA Tiger Dev Team. Please keep the questions and discussions coming....it is fun when there are no personal agendas interrupting.....

Had jury duty for last three days, just finished...

...and I agree with everyone. Divot is NOT a shill. He has his own opinions and expertise, but has clearly disagreed with some things that have been done in the Tiger Woods franchise.

JRod, by making posts like that, you're basically opening yourself up to be called similar things by others. I do not like name calling on the forums, and am getting tired of it. Quit it.

Another vote for Divot here. He is very enthusiastic about TW and golf games in general and I love that! He does stick up for the TW games a liitle bit sometimes, but not unconditionally. He will criticise them when they deserve it, but he is usually pretty honest about things.

Ah yes, options, options, options. Love it. I seem to recall ranting about just that over at the TW forums.

Sounds like EA was listening after all, eh? And I love the fact that they can tune the options from server side based upon user feedback.....

If I am not mistaken, the online tournament features on the 360/PS3 will also be there for the Wii.....I am just having a hard time justifying a Wii for one game only when I know that TW10 for 360 and PC are going to be taking up the vast majority of my playing time (what little there is....).

Not to derail, but if you like soccer PES 09 for Wii is outstanding, not to mention all the non-sports Nintendo stuff. But I think Tiger and PES would justify the Wii to me if I was into sports games.

Not really into soccer since FIFA on the 3DO. I am a graphics whore and just can't bring myself to buy a Wii when I will have an HD version of TW10 on the 360 and I am pretty sure that the new TW PC will be scalable to high end graphics cards so I should be set....but thanks for the recommendation though!

Actually you should consider getting a Wii just for TW. It would be good for you to test out TW next year on the Wii as many on this forum owns a Wii and will have questions for you.

Also as much as your into Golf which you probably play in real life it's good to get a different perspective when using the Wii controller to hit the ball. ;)

We need guys like you who interface with EA directly to make the game better for all, IMO.
