They call it a review, but there is no score. Very favorable though. I'm definitely in tomorrow.
IGN reviews TOCA Race Driver 2

Found it interesting that it was done by someone on their "cars" site, which I didn't even know existed. Seems to be a good idea though since the guy seems to have a clue and pimps CMR4 as a great game as well.
Definitely better than a lot of their efforts, which I'm sure would have spent most of the review talking about the damage from crashes.

The PS2 remains a slightly better racing console than the Xbox due to a greater variety of titles. I think Xbox racing titles are of a higher quality than those for the PS2, but more genres of racing are represented on the PS2 than the Xbox. For example, check out these PS2 exclusives:
World of Outlaws Sprint Car Racing
Saturday Night Speedway
NASCAR Heat Dirt to Daytona
Gran Turismo 3 (no great shakes, honestly)
F1 2002
F355
And yes, the PS2 has USB wheel support, a big plus.
That said, the only one of the above games that I really miss as an Xbox owner is WoO. And the Xbox is hitting its stride with exclusives such as Project Gotham 2, Moto GP 2, Colin McRae Rally 04 and TOCA 2, all of which are better than any PS2 exclusive racing game I've played except for WoO. And NASCAR Heat 2002 is much better for the Xbox than the PS2 due to the 43-car fields and better graphics.
I also like racing with the Xbox controller way better than the PS2 Dual Shock due to the analog triggers on the Controller S.
Plus online racing for the Xbox absolutely KILLS online racing on the PS2. What PS2 games have online racing other than NASCAR Thunder 2004? And that game only feature one-on-one online racing on the PS2, which is a joke.
All things considered, I'm quite pleased with the Xbox as a racing console. It's getting better every month.
Take care,
PK
