It's the puppet thing on Setanta Sports by Mario Rosenstock. Has Mourinho as the host of a call in show with Sven and Rooney as his side kicks. Sometimes it is funny, sometimes not very funny. I do think the Didier impression is one of the better ones.

While I admit there were some questionable calls, I'm glad it isn't another Bristish final that would be dull.

Proper football, you mean, as opposed to 'OOOps, were we supposed to defend as well ?'

I doubt that you could remotely compare it to the snoozefest that was AC Milan vs Juventus a few years back. Or the legendary Marseille vs Red Star Euro Cup final (90 or 91) where RSB played for pens from the kickoff.
"The players come from all over the world, the money from deep underneath the Persian Gulf, but, as another, older City poster campaign put it, this is their city. They may now exist in the global spotlight, but they intend to keep it that way."

Regardless of the calls, how do you give up the game-winning goal in the last minutes to a 10-man squad?

Sounded like over the 2 games, Chelsea hoped to skate by a goal or two rather than give into Barcelona's game, which might have resulted in a lot more scoring.

So they left themselves in a position where one goal beat them.

Actually, I can compare it to the Milan-Juventus match. Anytime you have two teams from the same league play in the final, you get a snoozefest because the teams know each other quite well. That is not to say there aren't other snoozefests like Bayern-Valencia and Monoco-Porto.

Well, you might argue that if Chelsea had been given 2 penalties and/or actually taken the numerous chances they had, then they'd have scored at least 4 in the home leg.

Iniesta's goal was Barcelona's only shot on target in the entire match - granted, it was a cracking strike.

There is a Youtube video of Ballack chasing the ref up the pitch, waving his arms frantically (it's sped up), set to Benny Hill theme.

Another one doing the rounds:

TomTom are reclaiming a batch of their latest satnavs. You enter 'Chelsea' and it comes back with 'two minutes from Rome'.

Official press conference/rally on Monday at city hall in Philadelphia. I should be able to attend as it's only two blocks from my office. I also have my deposit down to be on season ticket list!

It's the union of the snake! I hope the Duran Duran tune becomes the official anthem.

But, kidding aside, very cool. Let us know how the rally goes.

Don't think Preston will be the ones to do it, though, unless they put in a better effort than tonite.

Blimey squid, BM level on points at the top after Wolfsburg get tanked at Stuttgart, wish we'd had a manager who was so crap that he got us into positions like that :D

Rumour is that Louis van Gaal is being lined up as new manager. You may therefore expect

- dull, workmanlike football
- the sound of clogs many times over in the dressing room (I think at one point Barcelona had 5 at least, or maybe even 6 - Kluivert, at least one de Boer, Cocu, Reiziger, Overmars).

Don't hate because Bayern is looking like they will be 22 time Deuchmeister! Still wondering why McGrath is leaving Wolfsburg when he has such a young team on the top of the table.

Wonder if they'll invite Jurgen to the ceremony then if they win ?

They'd probably be already mathematically eliminated if he was still around.

I'm afraid the Pigs oink their way to Wembley, just a bit too good for Preston, though the latter had a few chances.

Geordies can continue to dream of the great escape as well...Boro are bolloxed.

Obafemi saved the day in less than his first minute as a sub. Yes, Nolan was offside, but who cares. We've been on the wrong side of the whistle too much this season, so a little karma is always nice. The fact is, though, NUFC are still in trouble and need to play their top football in the final two matches. They could just as easily go down as stay up at this point. At least they are now in a position to where they do not have to hope for a miracle to stay up.

Looks like the EPL is going to put some financial rules on their clubs to appease the British government. I don't know exactly what they are, maybe Dave can tell us while blaming it all on being envious of City.

Supposed to be strengthening the 'fit and proper persons test' - ie doing jack s***. Interestingly enough, they aren't concerned whether clubs have balance sheets that make the Titanic look seaworthy (hello, Man U and their £700m debt that needs refinancing). Just the Government trying to play their 'concern for the common man who can't afford to take his 2 kids every week any more' card, in an attempt to deflect attention away from the current MPs expenses scandals.

Scudamore is a gonk, he's trying to look they are doing something while doing nothing. Zip will happen until the first Prem club goes tits up.

Sounds good to me. that is another reason why Bundesliga clubs are at a disadvantage. German law won't let them have foreign owners nor debt.
