Well DB..at least you are in first in the DSP FBL...must be the first time ever :D

I will be a little sad tomorrow night when the MLB network actually carries a game....I think I prefer all the live look ins we have been getting....FREAKING AWESOME! It is always with runners on in a clutch AB situation...or the potential end of a game situation.

The commentary is tremendous. If I could, I would make love to this channel

I mean it would be one thing if they gave up some hard hit balls or something...but nothing was hit hard and they walked in like 4 runs. Ridiculous.

And suck it Piggy. Matt and I are battling right now for the fantasy basketball championship right now too...so it's usually just baseball I suck at. And it's early, I fully expect to be towards the bottom shortly.

Sad news for the Angels organization

http://www.tmz.com/2009/04/09/angels-st ... ball-game/

http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=4055343

Nick Adenhart, a rookie pitcher for the Los Angeles Angels, died in a car crash early Thursday morning, just hours after pitching in a game in Anaheim.

A source with knowledge of the situation confirmed to ESPN.com that Adenhart had been killed in a car accident.

Wednesday night, Adenhart had pitched six scoreless innings, giving up seven hits, striking out five and walking three in just his fourth major league start.

According to multiple reports out of the Los Angeles area, three people were killed in the three-car crash in Fullerton, Calif. One person was reported to be seriously injured.

According to the Los Angeles Times, witnesses told police that the driver of a red minivan blew through a red light and hit a Mitsubishi carrying four people.

The Times reported that the minivan's driver ran from the scene, but was arrested about a mile away.

R.I.P. Nick Adenhart. What a horrible horrible tragedy.

What f'n person crashes in to another car and drives off? That driver should just be beaten and thrown in to the river.

What a disaster the MLB.TV Premium service appears to be. I wish I would have read the message boards prior to signing up. In theory, it is awesome for me. Since the Pirates are blacked out here I figured I could watch the archived games or condensed games. Plus, I've really been enjoying the free MLB Extra Innings preview but I'm not happy with the picture quality as only one at a time is in HD.

Conceptually, MLB.TV is an awesome value. The games all look great on my computer...when I get them to work. I watched the only live game yesterday evening and it was fine (what a shot Joe Martinez took to the head!). But the archives are a mess (either not there, freeze, no audio, crash, poor quality picture, etc), there are no condensed games (a huge feature!), the 4 game window doesn't appear to work, the local audio feature doesn't work, etc, etc.

If the problems continue for too long I'm sure I can get my money back either via MLB or a credit card chargeback, but it's disappointing. Hold off if you were considering a purchase.

How 'bout them Padres eeking out a win against the Mets in the opening game at Citi Field. If anything the now 6-2 Pads are proving that I don't know a thing about baseball ;)

Jays continue their hot run early in the season as the young guns (Lind and Snider) continue to impress. But also veterans like Overbay and especially S. Rolen are having an early impact as the offense continue to explode coming from behind tonight against Minny.

However they lost J. Litsch and the already weak rotation will no doubt suffer in the coming days ahead.

The most useful thing to know about baseball is that it is a 162 game season :D Even my Pirates have had long winning streaks and great stretches in each of their 16 straight losing seasons.

I thought it would have been cool to have the Dodgers open up that park last night. It's kinda modeled after Ebbets Field, plus it's Jackie Robinson Day this week.

Gotta love the Yankees, how much did they spend on their pitching staff this year, yet they had Nick Swisher on the mound last night?
