I could be wrong but I thought I read that EA canned the Wii version this year.
That is correct. No matter how many consoles Nintendo sells, sim sports games just are not big sellers.

If the Erin Andrews sideline commentary is as generic and useless as it is in NCAA March Madness, I'll be bored with it after game #1.

I wonder if the gameplay part of the video is from 09 or 10. To my untrained eye, it's pretty hard to tell.

Hard to say since they were showing players who would not be in this years game. That said, they did confirm the videos showing defensive players pursuit angles were actual (from that moment in development) NCAA 10 footage. I was pretty uninspired as many of the glaring issues were there.

This is the first time I am more excited about Madden than NCAA. I will probably still play NCAA 10 more (being a college football nut) but it looks like NCAA is moving back into the Madden Stepsister mode.

Note that it did say this
Andrews will also be featured in a major NCAA Football 10 mode that will be revealed at a later date.
So they will be using here in more capacity than in College Basketball 09.

Gamestop Provides Early Feature List for NCAA Football 10

http://www.ncaastrategies.com/utopia/sh ... hp?t=66466

Utopian Raughton55 sent the NCAA Football Community into a buzz earlier this week reporting that he had seen the back of a placeholder box at Gamestop which provided some details for what to expect in NCAA Football 10. Fellow Utopian oweb26 was able to grab a photo of the back of the box which provides us the "Feature Sneak Peak":

* Prove your pride nationwide in the ultimate showdown of school spirit!
* A revolutionary, in-depth Create-a-School mode.
* Artificial intelligence that reacts to your strategic gameplay decisions.
* Innovative defensive controls that will change the way you play the game.
* All-new risk-reward gameplanning.
* A new edition to the EA SPORTS broadcasting team bringing in-depth sideline reporting.

------------------------------------------------------------

Well I hope by IN DEPTH means we can create a bunch of schools, allowing us to make some FCS leagues.

Wasn't this the feature list for Bill Walsh College Football in 1995? :roll:

Oh well, as long as the gameplay is good...who cares?

We have cover news. Wow a Tech guy on the cover of NCAA. Congrats Crabtree. Also FCS assets so we can make FCS teams and download other peoples creations... Kick Ass!

EA SPORTS NCAA Football brings an unparalleled college game day experience to football fans across the nation.

Michael Crabtree, formerly of Texas Tech University, graces the NCAA Football 10 Xbox 360 cover. A top 2009 NFL Draft prospect and two-time recipient of the Biletnikoff and Paul Warfield Awards, Crabtree is a highly recognized wide receiver who led Texas Tech in a close race for the BCS National Championship up until the final weeks of the 2008 season. Texas Tech’s victory over Texas in Lubbock is considered one of the defining moments of 2008.

The PS3 cover features University of Utah’s former quarterback, Brian Johnson. In 2008, under Johnson’s leadership, the Utah Utes became the only undefeated NCAA Division I team, boasting a 12-0 record heading into the 2009 Sugar Bowl. In that game, #7 Utah upset #4 Alabama to finish the season with a perfect 13-0 record. Johnson was named the Most Outstanding Player in the 2009 Sugar Bowl.

The PSP version of NCAA Football 10 will showcase University of Southern California’s former quarterback, Mark Sanchez. In his only season as USC’s starting quarterback, Sanchez led the Trojans to a near perfect 12-1 season, narrowly missing the opportunity to compete for the 2008 BCS National Championship title. Sanchez was named the Most Valuable Offensive Player in the 2009 Rose Bowl.

University of Texas’ former defensive end, Brian Orakpo, is featured on the PS2 cover. In 2008, Orakpo was unanimously selected as a first-team All-American and named the Associated Press Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year. In his final season with the Longhorns, Orakpo won the Bronko Nagurski Trophy, the Ted Hendricks Award and the Lombardi Award. Under Orakpo’s leadership, the Longhorns were one of the most dominating teams in the college football last year, defeating numerous top 25 teams including eventual Big 12 Champion and BCS National Champion contender Oklahoma in a memorable Cotton Bowl confrontation.

NCAA Football 10 will bring the excitement of college football to fans across the nation like never before with the all-new Season Showdown. In this new mode, every game counts as fans declare their loyalty to a favorite school and give the ultimate show of support in a nationwide competition. After choosing a school to represent, players will earn credits in-game through head-to-head online matchups and single player modes. Credits not only accumulate in-game but players can also earn credits for their school via new web-based games. Millions of college football fans around the country will be on a mission to prove their school is number one with NCAA Football 10’s Season Showdown.

NCAA Football 10 introduces TeamBuilder, an all-new, online create-a-school feature that will enhance the user’s ability to produce personalized content. With the capability to upload logos and numerous customization options for uniforms, fields, rosters, and much more, TeamBuilder gives users the opportunity to design completely original teams with infinite possibilities. Plus, preloaded logos for several Football Championship Subdivision schools will help users create authentic teams for NCAA Football 10. With its intuitively designed online database that is searchable across several fields, TeamBuilder allows users to share content with ease. A football fan’s dream, TeamBuilder will enable users to experience the excitement and pageantry of college football, defined by their own personalized creations.

With all 120 Football Bowl Subdivision schools represented in the game, NCAA Football 10 offers fans an exciting way to experience the thrill of authentic college football year-round. NCAA Football 10 brings the college football atmosphere to life with enhanced stadiums packed with school colors, cheerleaders and mascots. I'm glad to see Tiburon add the Team creator but I wonder how it's any different than letting a generic game, like say BackBreaker, come along with a similar tool that would allow users to easily create NFL teams. The press release says NCAA will come with preloaded logos for "several" FCS schools. Presumably that means there will be others that are left for users to create. Will one of those schools sue? Would the NFL sue to stop a BackBreaker game from using a similar Team creator tool? It will be interesting to see what if anything comes from all of this.

I don't think there is any difference, maybe cause EA has the license they negotiated a deal or don't think it will be an issue, or don't care...who knows.

I don't think anyone is stopped from making a generic game with customization its just no one is doing it cause they don't think it will sell. I couldn't say about Back Breaker because there is not enough information on it out yet.

Pretty sure the FCS is part of the license. Of course it is up to the individual schools to accept money to be in a game. I am sure EA tossed some cash to each FCS school for any likenesses.

The game that interests me, from a legal standpoint, is BCFX. Many of their teams in the game (including the PC version already out) are FCS teams, licensed under the NCAA. I recall a post where OMT just realized that the game existed and made that comment and that he would have someone look into it.

NCAA Football 10: TeamBuilder Reveal

http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/975/975993p1.html

This time around Create-a-School (TeamBuilder) is all web-based and operated from your PC. Pigskin fanatics can hop onto TeamBuilder.com, (once the site is live) sign in with their EA Sports ID, and then get down to the nitty gritty of designing the look and attributes for their school. EA Sports was kind enough to create IGN University (average GPA 1.1) to give us a look at just how deep the creation goes.

Read the rest at the link...... So far so good. You can even download logos!
