Sounds like business as usual at Tiburon studios.

Of course we would like to have that at some point. The hurdle for us is getting it in and keeping the framerate at 60fps. The more graphics you add the harder it is to maintain this framerate. In time...

The new built in excuse for the lack of stuff in NCAA/Madden.

It's absolutely inexcusable that in game saves haven't been implemented on next gen systems for NCCA or Madden.

I've got more hope for Madden at this point than NCAA. I'm guessing that the former has more resources on hand than the latter and I don't think that either has really been resourced to the point needed for yearly releases.

Best wishes,

Doug

I never had any problems with the game running at 30 FPS. But I find it inexcusable that EA with all their massive resources can't figure out how to put refs and the chain gang on the field and still keep the framerate at 60.

Having massive resources and having the talent to do it are 2 different things.

Amen, Dan. It makes me appreciate the guys that make the Show, who were able to figure out a way to add in-game saves (and many other things), even more than I already did.

Custom conferences this week. Should be a nice addition for offline and online games.

Time to recreate the Southwest and Big 8 conferences.

Man, this is the best news I've heard so far about '10. In fact, this rocks!

Hey Brent. I noticed in one of those screen shots, someone put OU in the same conference as Memphis. Fsquid on line #1 for you. :)

Great! I guess that means Div 1-AA (FCS) teams are in this year.

EA has a new blog for the "Gameplay Camera Presentation Updates." As someone who has been crying about Tiburon's gameplay camera for years, I can't say I'm very excited.

On a different note, if the OL/DL interaction in NCAA has been changed at all, you sure can't tell it from these pictures.

First look at pockets, also Ian confirmed this is in Madden but they are not ready to talk fully about it as they are still working on the tech and tweaking.

Player lock is fabulous. About f'ing time. Now I can play defense with the camera swapped. I hope they throw this in Madden.

Oh and there is also a defense assist thingy which I hope is optional.

It's now the year 2009, it's inexcusable any sports game doesn't have in-game saves, whether it's Madden, NCAA, NBA2k, NBA Live, etc.

Thank goodness MLB 2K9 has this feature. A full 9 inning game with all the "atmosphere" turned on can take a long time.

Yup, same with the Show. Now if we can just get the basketball and football game designers on board.

Yeah last gen Madden games had in game saves. I remember Madden 2004 (Xbox) having in game saves. I have Madden 08 (PC) and it has in game saves. It's just the next gen stuff that has that missing.

Online Dynasty video

Who is it that keeps giving Florida St these A+ overall ratings? Do these guys actually watch the Seminoles? let's let them actually earn that A+ first.

Wow Georgia drops from the top team in last years game to a B+ overall. They lost many key players but this is Georgia, not exactly a bunch of scrubs.

I could care less about recruiting, I let the CPU do that. :P I know alot of people dig that sort of thing though.. I mean, it is COLLEGE football. It's just so tedius.. maybe if I didn't have a wife and two kids..

I want to see some gameplay!!!

I could be wrong but I thought I read that EA canned the Wii version this year.

I totally agree. I simmed the recruiting in the last version playing as Penn State and the results were pleasantly realistic. I'd get a few good to great player additions each season and a Top 10-20 class.

That's what I'm seeing as well.. I do pick my list of players, but after that, I let the CPU do the rest. Have a WR that's better than Macklin. 8O
