I highly doubt Jauron had the final say on this signing. Ralph Wilson may be 90, but every major personnel decision in this organization still must have his blessing. He's still very much involved in the day-to-day operations of the team -- a hands-on owner.

Take care,

For those of you talking about him helping the attendance, a quick search will show that this is not something that is an issue.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2007_Buffalo_Bills_season

They average well over 71,000 per game in a stadium that holds 73,000.

There's a big misconception that the Bills moved a home game to Toronto because they were hurting for bodies at the Ralph. The figures in BD's links above prove that's far from the truth.

Bills VP Russ Brandon -- a Syracuse native :) -- pushed hard for the Toronto game because the Bills have a very healthy fan base in Southern Ontario who cross the border to attend games in Orchard Park. He wanted to provide a "home game" for those fans, cultivate more Canadian fans and tap into the potentially lucrative pool of Canadian advertisers.

The Toronto home game had nothing to do with warm bodies at the Ralph.

It seems even internet memes are mad about the TO signing:

Rams cut Orlando Pace.

This guy, Spagnolo, is cleaning house. Which is fine and what I would expect....but...This seems more of a $$$ move...

Im always sad to see a great player who did good things for the Rams go.

Holt cut.

Rams have found their special niche and it is in creating cap space.

I want to see if they spend that money on getting better or if they are just worried about the economy. :P

It appears the Ravens are taking a queue from the Rams. They allowed a several quality players to get signed by other teams. I thought I read that Rolle was getting cut today? :?

Indeed. That's not DUI; it becomes vehicular manslaughter. That's almost guaranteed time, as it should be.

You would think that all that weed he smoked would slow down his sperm.

He got almost $7 million out of his contract before he was cut. That should be more than enough to take care of his kids.

You're assuming that he has some of that money left. That's a very big leap of faith toward someone with the concrete-like brain density of Henry.

I should have said, "That should have been enough." He's obviously pissed it away.

I see Cutler wants out of Denver now. If I was the owner, I'm not sure how I would feel about my new coach annoying my star QB enough that he wants to go somewhere else.

If it was in NC, he might even be charged with first degree murder per the felony murder law.

The money is one thing, but damn. Henry has 11 kids. Is there any doubt they will all grow up f***ed up, without a father figure to help them and teach them. Dude should have wrapped it up once in a while. The fact his youngest is 3 years old is surprising. Wonder how many more he has that he doesn't know about, or the mom is a ho and couldn't prove he was the dad. I'd put the # at 20+. Quality role model :D

Add Houston Rockets great Calvin Murphy - the infamous 14 kids by 9 different women. It has even become a NBA blog joke - if a guy gets 14 pts and 9 rebounds he's achieved 1 Calvin.

He gets ONLY 90 days for killing someone then gets aquited on a second DWI charge even though he failed three sobriety tests.

Pretty sad.

Getting suspended from the NFL for a year is the least of his worries. He's doing some serious jail time. I sure as hell would not want to be a receiver in jail.
