Club Tuner makes a return and there are some neat practice features for it that I think users will like. Plus club distances have been toned back down to realistic levels thankfully.....
It's too bad that the team can't work on realistic trajectories. This is a pro golf game and not a amateur representation. And the trajectories are just off. I always look at that par 5 at Pebble as a good example. It's where you tee off to the lower fairway and have to come up to a green about 50 ft above you. The problem on the second shot is that the ball trajectory sometimes flies so low you hit the elevated fairway about 150 yards out and the ball rolls to the green. The trajectory should have more a steeper descent on long irons and higher lofted woods.
This isn't a hardcore issue either. Too many shots from difficult lies land in unrealistic places. It would really open the game up for all but not break the game.

Then shut the f*** up...you come here and criticize and that's all you really contribute.
Fair enough. Since that is all I contribute, I will make those contributions elsewhere.
Can't say I agree with that at all. You and I have had our moments in the past, but ever since you came back, I have enjoyed your contributions here. Hope you reconsider. if not, you know where you can find me for Tiger discussions....
Look all BD had to do was ask what settings I had the game on when I played that's all. Instead he comes to the conclusion that I didn't mess with the settings in his usual BD way.
God, people, stop talking past each other. JRod's talking about shot variety, BD's talking about difficulty levels, and then it turns into a stupid pissing match. You both have posting traits that annoy each other. Just learn to deal with each other.
SO HAPPY to hear that they FINALLY got rid of that lousy putting mechanic and you know will judge your putts based on the distance you go back and thru....like real life.
Divot...what is the est. release date for Tiger 10?

Not yet, but I was very impressed with what I saw.....and to kill any suspense, Augusta is not in TW10....AN has no interest in licensing the course to anyone.
One of the reasons I like the PC mode as someone(can't remember his name right now) does a great Augusta rendition that you can download.
Also, I like using the mouse to swing as opposed to the stick or button pushing.
You are going to love what EA has shared with me regarding the PC version then....wish I could say more, but when I can, I expect this thread to light up like a Christmas tree.....

I think the US Open license is good but more eye-candy than anything else. Is the PGA Championship License not in the game. I can't remember. I don't really know why they don't lock up the majors and really push them aside from The Masters.
They could really do a bang-up job with The Players, US Open, The Open, and PGA.
I'm interested in seeing how they made the Tour Mode. I hope in the future they expand on this mode. It does get a bit boring playing in the fish bowl of each tournament. Much like what they did with with Be a Pro in other versions, if EA Sports could add the majors, the Ryder Cup (even a generic version) and have some yearly changes -- the mode could be excellent.
Instead of the mini-games that raise attributes maybe it could influence the player in a hot/cold way like real golers go through. For example if in one tournament you putted lights out but struggled hitting the greens, in the week you practiced GIR mini-games but that could hurt driving or short game attributes.
At the end of the day, I wish Tiger pushed the way we played golf games. I don't think it's there because the features set is very similar to what we saw on the old-gen and PC.
And if they don't focus on this...I hope they would concentrate on online leagues. I don't know the online features but like in FIFA or NHL you had a club. I think the same could be done here. Have a bunch of guys sign up and have tournaments within that club. I guess we'll see what happens this year.

Each Major championship has its own license and they are surprisingly hard to get as well as expensive. The USGA license was not easy to achieve from what the Tiburon guys told us. Licensing of players, courses, and other parts of the PGA TOUR is not exactly easy to come by nor is it cheap. Everybody wants their piece of the pie and then there are some such as Augusta National who don't want or need the money nor exposure that having their course in a video golf game would bring.....
The link below is to the latest TW10 Blog regarding club distances. I really like the risk/reward that is being incorporated into the swing interface...
Sometime in May according to the new TW10 site. I hope they don't dumb the demo down to Default diffculty like they have the last several years and give us a taste of how the game plays at the higher difficulty levels.....
