It probably wont resemble F1... but the game will most likely be a blast to play.
I see your point about entertainment value, but I really do wish there could still be two distinct camps when it comes to sports titles. On one hand, the licensed titles like MLB The Show, F1, etc...should try to stay true to the sport. Then you have titles like GRID or NBA Ballers, etc...I really don't mind if those ones are "over the top".
I guess I'm a little bitter that DIRT looks like they're moving away from the sim aspects of rally. Mind you, it isn't a sport I'm following so closely, but I liked the idea of feeling like a driver on a real-life circuit. I have a feeling that while F1 will include arcade elements, it will still offer a simulated F1 season.
