You can cheese Seth with Zangief, even on hardest difficulty (to unlock that achievement). Just keep spamming Lauriat (all 3 punches or kicks) over and over. Make sure to set to 1 round + 30 seconds. Beat the game in under 5 min in arcade mode on hardest hehe.
I am up for some live matches if anyone is on my FL.

Speaking of Zangief he seems way tougher in IV than in II. From memory I remember Zangief being a total cake walk when I'd play against him in II, no range attacks, slow, had to get close to use any of his big moves. In IV though it looks like they upped his reach a bit and he can also grab through some moves to go into his spinning piledriver and some of the rest. I was really surprised when i faced him the first couple times.WillHunting wrote:You can cheese Seth with Zangief, even on hardest difficulty (to unlock that achievement). The more I play this game, the more I hate Seth. When he starts teleporting around it is extremely annoying, as are some of his special moves.
As for normal characters, Zangief is definitely tougher than he used to be, and Abel is absolutely killing me. These throw-heavy characters are much tougher than in the older games because they can get right in your face so quickly, block a counter and quickly perform a devastating move. Abel does that spinning throw move about 4 times a round on me.
Also, can anyone explain to me what is up with 'techs'? I don't really understand the system where a CPU character comes charging at me and I try to counter or sweep but a blue force-field blocks my attack and the CPU just keeps coming at me. I think it says 'tech' whenever this happens.

That is one of the most frustrating moves in the entire game.Naples39 wrote:Abel does that spinning throw move about 4 times a round on me.
Don't even get me started on Seth... It sometimes seems like the CPU just reacts immediately and counters every move I enter before I've even started going into the moves on the screen. Kinda cheap if you ask me. It is much more fun playing against people online where at least they make some obvious errors. The CPU is perfect sometimes.
Come to think of it, the only success I've ever found against Abel is just an all-out attack. You simply can't defend because he will come running at you; if you try to counter he sidesteps and appears behind you for the throw, and if you block he just throws you. Kind of ridiculous. Is there something I'm missing here?macsomjrr wrote:That is one of the most frustrating moves in the entire game.Naples39 wrote:Abel does that spinning throw move about 4 times a round on me.
Did not want to make a new thread for this and since it is a fighting game.

I just got Super Street Fighter IV for the PS3. If anyone has it and wants to play some MP let me know.
