I bought a PS3 for MLB '06 or '07 (whichever was the first for the PS3), and the game's only gotten better since. Love the PS3 for the blu-ray, the free internet (hooked into my network), surfing the internet on the big screen on occasion, the PS store, etc. Even if you're just picking it up for the Show and no other games, it's still worth it, IMHO, although everyone finds at least a couple of other games they love on the PS3 (and the rest of the sports games usually play the same as the 360).

Here's what you do...

You pick up a PS3, MLB 09 The Show, Uncharted, Little Big Planet and The Dark Knight on Blu Ray....That lineup alone will keep you occupied for months.

Wow...some of these pictures are jaw dropping, if you're a baseball fan. I absolutely cannot wait for next week.

I hate this game. How am I going to justify this purchase to my CFO (wife)?

Nice one! Don't think I can get away with it tho. Probably have to go the sperm donation/selling blood route.

I'm in. The show was by far the main reason, but I'm excited to play LBP with my kids. In addition to LBP, I grabbed Killzone 2 and the Wall-E Blu-Ray to complete my 'starter kit.'

I'll gamefly Uncharted.

Do not under estimate UnCharted. That game sucked me in like no other game...in a long while at least. The PS3 is staring to make some noise. This Killzone 2 game supposedly has a superb online component.

I'm very much looking forward to playing through Uncharted, no worries there. I bought KZ 2 over it only because of what you just mentioned, that the online play is also supposedly very good.
