New here

Post by Toledo »

Hey everyone,
new guy alert!!! hehe, I found this site through a link on easports.com mvp forums... very cool place.

I am really hoping that the lefty bug can get fixed. I am the braves and my only HR threats are andrew jones and Marcus Giles. Chipper, JD Drew, and adam laroache hit nothing but singles or doubles for me.... I havent been able to hit a HR with a lefty at all.

Welcome Toledo. Hope you enjoy it here.

As for the lefty bug, there are some promising developments in understanding the tune file for MVP (PC). People have already fixed steals and pitcher control, and there are variables that present parameters for ball spin. So hopefully someone will figure it out.

As for MVP for the PS2 and XBox, things will be a little more difficult. Someone will have to design a tune file patch, and then only people with mod chips or boot discs will be able to fix it. And that's assuming that someone will make a PS2/XBox patch, which may not happen.

Anyways, if you've got a PC version of the game things are looking positive. Otherwise, I wouldn't expect EA to make the changes themselves....

First of all you need to spell Andruw's name right...he and I get really pissed when people disrespect him like that. LOL.

Second, you should be able to hit some bombs with Chipper seeing as though he's a switch hitter.

Third, welcome.

Andruw needs to grow up, then maybe people will spell his name right. Still can't stand him.

We'll see who prevails in our traditional preseason Boston-Atlanta battles the next few days...

That's Andrew's attitude during the preseason, regular season, and playoffs (which I don't think is in the Braves' future this year).

It's from a couple years ago. Just a great and funny quote from Andruw.

Andruw Jones adds to Ewing testimony
Associated Press

ATLANTA -- Braves outfielder Andruw Jones testified Wednesday that he was a regular customer at the Gold Club and has been to the strip club at least 30 times.

Jones spent about 15 minutes on the witness stand at the federal court house as part of the prosecution's case against strip club owner Steve Kaplan, who along with six others is charged with prostitution, extortion, money laundering and credit-card fraud.

Jones has not been accused of a crime and left the courthouse without commenting to media there.

Jones said he was invited to a private party by a Gold Club employee and escorted there by limousine on a night in late 1996 or early 1997.

He said he arrived at the hotel room to find two women "doing lesbian action." Jones testified he had intercourse with the two women, with Kaplan and several other men in the room watching.

Jones said he later recognized the two women in the Gold Club. Prosecutors did not ask Jones if the women worked there as strippers.

Testifying hours before the Braves were to play an afternoon game against the Cincinnati Reds, Jones said he never paid for the sex and did not know in advance that sex was part of the party.

"I just know it was a party, and there were girls there," he said.

Prosecutors say Kaplan used the lure of sex to attract professional athletes and celebrities while cheating customers to funnel cash to New York's Gambino crime family.

On Monday, the Orlando Magic center Patrick Ewing testified that he was provided oral sex twice in a private room at the Gold Club while Kaplan and a former manager watched.

He is free to take a swing, but it will be hard to convince me that a hitter as disciplined at the plate as Manny doesn't work hard or care about the game.

And I don't think Andrew going to strip clubs during the season compares to Manny talking to an opposing team's player at a hotel.
