ASB - Hitting question
I've been using the 2d cursor since zone is busted (again). Is it just me or does every user hit foul ball go straight back? I'm also beginning to wonder about the hit distribution as well. Is anone seeing many user hit balls down the line? The CPU hits seem fine, but I'm not sure about user hitting.

I just got this game a couple of days ago, and I'm playing Legend, 2D cursor, classic pitch speed. It does seem that the majority of user foul balls are straight back, but I have hit quite a few down the lines and far left/right out-of play.
I really don't recall the cpu fouling the ball straight back, though.

The hitting distribution is improved, but it still sucks royally, IMO.
The harder you make the difficulty, the less variety you'll see in your hits as well.
Before I gave up on the game, I was playing on Legend and popping lots up, and grounding a few out...
However, all of my solid hits were going over the wall! On Legend! I wasn't seeing ANY looping singles, or good shots down the line. The fly balls are also ridiculous.

A bit off topic, but this is the highest ASB thread listed right now... anyone else run into this problem? On any past ball, my catcher gets up, then is immobilized for half a second before he'll actually run after it. Quite a drag when the runner on third is coming home to score and my catcher is just standing there.
Between that and all the popups I get using cursors, I'm starting to despise this game.

I get the same problem with frozen catchers.
*Sigh*. It looks like my fears may be reality. I'm going to give ASB a few games this weekend, paying close attention to the hit distribution. If it fails the test, here I come ESPN. WSB was my pick last year, so as long as they don't make things worse with the zone hitting and confidence meters I should be fine with it.
I was hoping to be impressed by one of these this year, but that's not proving to be the case so far.
