You know after messing around with the End War demo and trying it out with the voice command stuff I'm fairly impressed. Without the voice control I probably wouldn't be interested but being to send your units around quickly, calling in air strikes, retreating, holding down positions and all that simply by saying it is really fun. Makes me wonder why more games don't try to incorporate voice commands. I'd love to see a feature like this in a game like Head Coach while calling plays on the field or substituting players.

Anyone else had the chance to check it out yet?

I thought EndWar was very cool, I may transfer my pre-order of Call Of Duty World At War over to it. I'm not usually a RTS guy but this one really was fun, and the voice commands are cool. I like the idea of the persistent online war a la Chrome Hounds or WW2 Online.

I love the WW2 Call Of Duty games, but EndWar is different from all the other 360 games I have now so it may get the nod.

Glad to hear someone else on here enjoyed it. It totally reminds me of the book "Ender's Game" for some reason:)

Portal: Still Alive is available for 1200 points. Haven't even finished the 1st one but I'll dig this one too most likely.

Just to save people some cash, Age of Booty is not very good unless you have kids who would enjoy a game that mostly plays itself.

I was gonna D/L the demo. It kinda reminded me of Sid Meier's Pirates or Tradewinds or one of my old favorites on the SNES, Uncharted Waters.

I gave up on RTS games a while ago because I got tired of frantically clicking around and resource gathering. You have tempted me to give this one a shot though.

Also, I'm not looking forward to the merciless taunting I will certainly receive from my wife when she finds me literally issuing commands to my computer soldiers.

That is one of my pet peeves about "real time" strategy games. What the heck is real time about having to build a barracks in 30 seconds in order to create more troops? YUCK! Close Combat is real time strategy, most of the others are resource management click-fests.

Still, End War was very cool, and had you fighting for control points instead of building research labs. You do have to bring in reinforcements, but the whole thing was much more enjoyable to me than your standard RTS fare. It can't hurt to try it and see if it floats your boat.

I believe it's the same game, with a handful of bonus levels. No?

Yep. But it's still damned cool. DL'ed it last night. Nice to have it on the HDD. It's the only part of the Orange Box that I really cared for.

There are fourteen new levels that are not directly related to the 1st Portal. The game is addicting but I have been pulling my hair on some of these levels too.

Portal was the surprise of the year for me. I loved it.

I'm torn whether it's worth $15 bucks for some new levels.

I think Portal was perhaps the best non-sports game I've played ever, and certainly the only game that brought both a smile, a chuckle, and a real sense of accomplishment when I finished it. I'd gladly pay $40 more for another taste.

Hopefully GlaDOS is still in there...

NCAA Basketball 09 demo is out and available to download.

Playable teams are Tennesse, Kentucky, 1979 North Carolina and 1982 Michigan State.

You play one half, which is locked at 8 minutes.

Pratice gym from Live is a half court blacktop on campus grounds.

Have you managed to avoid having the ending spoiled all this time?

Tempo select feature is interesting. I opted to run an up tempo game with Tenn, fast breaking, etc. while Kentucky slowed it down, running set plays in a half court offense.

Classic teams wear the short shorts and Chuck Taylor Converse All-Stars, etc.

If you liked Live, you'll probably like this.

Anyone tried the Vigilante arcade game this week, I like the demo blowing up cars is fun. Just not sure how the multiplayer is or the story mode since the demo doesn't let you do that.

It's definitely V8-and I loved V8. Just don't know if I want to buy it.

I'm hoping you got those years mixed up for the UNC and MSU teams. Much rather have MJ on my team :)

I did indeed. Enjoy the 'Air', as well as the 'Majic'. :)
