We were 'treated' to the Raiders v Saints game over here....by heaven, Oakland are crap. Russell doesn't look like he could hit receivers constantly if the Saints secondary stood still, and we aren't exactly looking at an elite group there.
Nice to see the Bengals got beat again, tho without Palmer and the kicker, Graham. Here's hoping the draft is nice and deep, although Palmer aside, the Bengals record with 1st overall picks is a bit poor, tbh.

I want to hear the sack of s*** questioned. Because this is the most disgraceful set of games I have ever seen.
With all the money involved in the NFL youd think they would get some competent people in there.

Actually, if the Raiders had just a little direction, they might be able to win a game or two. They're wasting their young talent....

The Pats is built around Brady (the past couple of years anyway). With him gone, this team is basically a headless chicken running around the field. The defense is old and slow, but they were fine last year because they were mostly playing ahead by several scores so they can just sit back and defend the pass. Now, they are exposed for what they are.
It is painful to watch as a Pats fan.

Today's Bears loss hurts, and it hurts bad. To go from the sheer joy of almost sure victory to the bitter taste of bullshit defeat is rough. I won't make any excuses that the Bears deserved to win because of their stellar play on the field, they were lucky to be in the position to take the lead. I will, however, say that the NFL needs to employ the people in charge of the game clocks in stadiums as the Falcons should have never even had the opportunity to kick the game winning field goal today. The person in charge of running off the clock started the clock 1 to 2 seconds late on both the kick off and the play from scrimmage of the Falcons. The 11 seconds on the clock after the Bears scored was actually more like 15 to 16 seconds for the Falcons. That is a disgrace and an extremely frustrating way to lose. That said the Bears still didn't make the play necessary on defense to prevent the chance. I also noticed that the person in charge of running the clock let more time go off after Bears called timeouts late in the game and when they went out of bounds. I sincerely hope whoever it is gets fired.

Scoop I am with you 100%, the Bears should of never been in that position to begin with but since they have shown that pass play by Ryan over and over it is so noticeable it astonishing it hasn't been brought up once by the national media.
Bears lost that can't change, but someone should be held accountable but you'll never hear that because the NFL likes to cover it's ass.

Bad clock operation has been an overlooked problem for years. I wish that I could be optimistic about things changing, but it's not likely.
OTOH, the Bears gotta punch that ball in from the 1. And I thought they were really hamstrung with both CB's out.
Still hurt.

Hey the Bears deserved to lose that game and they did. The squib kick was horribly executed and well the pass play was crazy. There were a lot of down to the wire games yesterday and I watched them all (thanks Sunday ticket) you're not going to see bad clock manipulation in any of them except the Bears game.RobVarak wrote:Bad clock operation has been an overlooked problem for years. Ryan took the snap from center out of shotgun and took a step before the clock started it was at least 1.5 second delay, it was so noticeable I saw it in real time.
None of it matters if the Bears don't give them the ball at the 44 and
don't play cover 2 in that situation or if the Bears D was half as good as they think they are. I;m just kind of astonished it hasn't been brought up once, again you don't change the game results you just hold someone accountable and maybe that happens behind the scenes I don't know but considering this is the NFL and they sweep their problems under the rug I bet the guy in Atlanta just got a bonus.

That was an unbelievable finish, but if Chicago kicks the ball off normally, the games over. That squib kick took little time off the clock and gave the Falcons an opportunity to make one long pass to get in FG range. They were so worried about Norwood making a long return, they made a dumb mistake. Norwood didnt have enough time to run it back all the way, so all they had to do was tackle him in front of the end zone.Danimal wrote:Hey the Bears deserved to lose that game and they did. You Chicago guys blaming the scorekeepers for that loss is comical. You don't think the same thing would have occurred had the game been in Chicago and they had one last play to win the game. If you guys are looking to pin blame, look no further than your coach. That squib kick call was the reason they had enough time remaining on the subsequent play. The fear of Norwood's speed basically won the game for Atlanta.RobVarak wrote:Bad clock operation has been an overlooked problem for years. It's not comical in the slightest. You can play that game in Chicago and that wouldn't have happened. I've been to every Bears home game for the past 10 + years (outside of the ones downstate) and that has never happened nor would I want it to. And while I didn't like the squib kick the clock was also late starting on that play too. Either way you look at it they would have had to heave it to the endzone had the clock operator been doing his/her job. If I was a Falcons player and found out that the only reason we won the game was because the clock operator cheated I wouldn't want the win.JackB1 wrote:You Chicago guys blaming the scorekeepers for that loss is comical.
