Fresh meat for Schobel and Kelsay, the best DE's for the Bills since BRUUUUUUUUUUCE ...
Take care,

Looks like someone found where he'd hidden the pictures of the Ford family and livestock....Matt Millen's been binned by the Lions.
"The players come from all over the world, the money from deep underneath the Persian Gulf, but, as another, older City poster campaign put it, this is their city. They may now exist in the global spotlight, but they intend to keep it that way."
Through the miracle of satellite TV I was 'treated' to watching the Browns v Bengals game live.
Now I just have to be treated for depression.
Quick diagnosis
- The Bengals O-Line is crap at the tackle position.
- Chris Perry has as much chance of being a productive every down RB as I have...and we look the same shape, which is not a credit to him.
- Why did Fitzpatrick not get the practice time on Wed/Thurs ?
- Robert Geathers and Antwan Odom look like they could only catch a QB if he was on crutches...and then it would have to be an ankle tap tackle as he hobbled away from them. What is it with the Bengals and the defensive line ? They've blown more #1 picks on that area than lord knows what (I got at least 6 in mind), and the last decent one was Eddie Edwards in the mid 80's.
No doubt the scoreboard mechanics are fitting a third digit to the Dallas score section as we speak.

Take care,

Linehan seems to have won that race at least.
Hopefully Marvin will be next.

There was nothing live about that game. A car wreck with tackling.
The Bears goal line stand against the Eagles, however, is why I watch football.
Linehan looked like he was starring in a Southwest "Wanna get away" commercial on the sidelines yesterday. Yes, Trent Green will solve all of your team's problems But cheer up, St. Louis -- Matt Millen is available to solve your personnel problems in the offseason!
I have to give a huzzah to PK for the 4-0 Bills. Their defense looks great and they have just enough firepower on offense to capitalize.
I was also pretty surprised at how easily the Redskins handled Dallas at home. Those games are always intense, but Washington came in and really controlled the temp of that game. Jason Campbell was really efficient and Portis and the Skins line just ran the ball down the Cowboys' throats.

...Yes he did.
I am not very sorry to see him go.
Na na na na..na na na na hey hey hey good bye...
As for the Bears ...That was great. To me even more amazing than the stand was that they got a 1st down after from their own 1. Otherwise the Eagles get the ball in great position with plenty of time.

I admire your loyalty. That game was hard to watch.
Yes, my neighbours were treated to a fine flurry of random insults, they must be wondering who this Perry chap is, and whether he really is large and illegitimate or not.
I'd just sat through Man City getting beaten 2-1 by Wigan as well, so the air was turning blue...

Yeah, what the hell was up with CBS putting the Browns/Bengals game on in Chicago yesterday? Surely they could have put on the Broncos/Chiefs or something else. At least I got to watch the Packers lose.
The Bears game was awesome last night! Last week I go thinking they would win and they lose, this week I went thinking they would lose and they won. Lovie sure does get them fired up for those primetime games. Now hopefully they don't piss down their leg in Detroit next week. They have a good shot at going 4-2 with games in Detroit and Atlanta and to come home against the Vikes at 4-2 would be huge.
That goalline stand was at the other endzone, was it close? Should it have been reviewed? I saw some Philly fan on some web forum saying that it was bullshit and should have counted as a touchdown and I haven't seen a replay of it.

I am a patient boy.
I wait, I wait, I wait, I wait.
My time is water down a drain.

It was close, but a review would have certainly upheld the call.
I thought he was in when the play was run live, but the replay showed that Alex Brown was twisting him away from the goal line and about 3 guys hit him just in time. The ball was clearly visible the entire time, and it never broke the plane.
I can't believe they didn't try to sneak it even once, but I'm glad they didn't. And I have to believe they particularly missed Westbrook during that sequence.
The first half was the best that Orton has ever played, IMO. The second half was a return to form.
Briggs was an absolute wrecking ball last night.

Me neither, and yes, definitely. With Westbrook out and Buckhalter banged up, you gotta at least try something else after the first two stuffs. Drove me crazy as an Eagles fan.
How the hell can the Eagles not bootleg one of them? Do they know who their QB is? Sure, he's not the same guy as he used to be running with the ball...but get him into space around the goal line with a LB or a DB...I've got DMac 9 times out of 10.

I can't quite jump on the Bills are awesome bandwagon quite yet. The big wins against Jacksonville and Seattle at the begining of the year were pretty good, but trailing to both Oakland and St. Louis at half is REALLY disturbing. Maybe they just don't get up for the games like they should...I don't know. Edwards has definitely shown up in the 4th quarter, but eventually it's not gonna work...just flipping the switch in crunch time. Then again, there is a reason Elway was so good.
Those two games would worry me if I were a Bills fan.
