Okay, you're a tool, and you play this game. Does that count?

I KID, I KID! I don't know anything about the group other than they love their phallic symbolism...

I think there are a couple of Tool songs scheduled for GH:WT.

Here's everything you need to know about peripheral compatibility between the games.

I've done a few of the Battle of the Bands web and I plan on doing more. My band (formerly known as scatmonger) is the pinwheels.

Great link. Good to know that basically everything works with everything, except RB guitars with GH2 & GH3, which I can deal with.

My longstanding band 'poon patrol' was also a victim of the new band name censoring. :(

LOL, how would you like to have that job?

I haven't gotten RB2 yet but might pick it up this weekend. Has anyone been playing a bass career? That's one thing I really wanted to do in RB1, and I'm wondering if RB2 has some challenging bass songs.

You don't really do single instrument careers in RB2, you just do challenges and do BWT mode and can choose any instrument when you begin a set.

I haven't gotten all that far but reviews said bass was a lot more interesting this time around, as well as guitar being harder. Or you could just buy some Rush DLC like YYZ if you want to jam that bass.

YES, IT DOES.

And I took the safe route with band names...mine is Joshua Railroad.

My uncle just bought a 360 and RB2 and we are having a blast with this online. I grew up playing games with him and its his fault I am such a gamer now LOL. Anyhow, we did a few of the Battle of the Bands the other night and I am not sure either of us understand how it works. Who is the band that is "battling" us? Is it a random band, a friends band, a band with similar scores and skill level (doesn't work if so) or is it people doing the same challenge as we are at the same time?

If any of you ever want to join in just send me a message. My band names are Burning Democracy (what I play by myself and with my son) and my Uncle and I's band name online is Wind Dancer.

And MAC there are THREE Tool songs in the new Guitar Hero.......YES!!!!!!!

Actually it's the 19th. That's when the bundle and game are released for the PS3.

One of the top RB drummers is doing a 337 song marathon for charity for stricken by the recent hurricanes. He's pretty darn impressive.

It is awesome to play "The Camera Eye," one of my favorite Rush tracks. "She Sells Sanctuary" is a great addition, too, even if it's not terribly hard.

Beginning to get into RB2 more and really enjoying it. Kinda sucks that they didn't do more to beef up character designer or add more pre-made players, but there is just so much material to play. Some of the best stuff is very surprising. You Oughta Know by Alanis Morissette has a sick bass part, and the guitar is pretty fun too. Never wouldn't thought that would be a favorite for me!

Harmonix have really delivered on their promise to create a 'platform' rather than a game in this respect. It might be easy to enough to pay $60 for the GHWT software, but will I want to bother with a game that plays the same but has a separate tracklist, when I already have 180+ songs available in one place with RB?

Also, Deep Discount delivered on my $70 RB2 drums. After some play, here are my thoughts:
-Drumheads are a squishier material, making them much quieter when played softly, and marginally quieter when hit hard. Still, the sound is more of a muted thump rather than the loud thwack of RB1 drums.
-They feel sturdier, particularly the bass kick. I found myself more accurate because of that.
-Honestly, the best thing so far is the extra grip on the bottom, mainly on the crossbars connecting the floor pieces. I usually have a lot of problems with my drums sliding away from me while kicking a lot, and so far my new set hasn't slid at all on my carpet.
-The worst thing - Harmonix and Mad Catz, where are the cymbals??? Still no release date. :(

Oh, and I tried a Battle of Bands challenge. It's the metal/guitar one. I put up a very beatable 223k on Hard. Tried it on expert, but failed on Metallica song which is pretty dastardly.

My band is now Boo~urns.

Not sure if this was posted but the Rock Band bonus track registration page was updated. You can now enter your code (on the back of the RB2 manual) and email for when the bonus tracks become available.

I'm getting Rock Band 2 and the wireless drums tomorrow if I can.

Is there any market for my RB1 drums?

Anyone here have the RB2 guitar, and if so is it worth the upgrade from RB1 or GH guitars?

I posted my modded set on craigslist last week for $35. Got 4 people saying they wanted them, but none actually came. Still trying to get rid of them.

Never tried RB2 guitars, but my understanding is they are nearly exactly like RB1 guitars. As for RB guitars vs. GH guitars, you will get varied opinions on this. I personally feel strongly that the RB guitars are superior in every way.

I can't compare RB2 guitar to RB1, but I can to just about every GH guitar.

It took a small adjustment period, but after about 3 or 4 songs the RB2 guitar became my favorite of the bunch. It's really not even close. I just really wish I could use my RB2 guitar with GH3 so I could enjoy the Metallica Death Magnetic album with my guitar of choice.

The strum bar on RB1 guitars is just awful. But I read that they fixed it for RB2.
