WORST living conditions EVER... I've been to crackhouses before and they look like the Hilton compared to this place... Unreal... I see a lot of this kinda stuff in foreclosed homes, but not THIS bad...

I absolutely REFUSE to let myself believe that is real! (even though I guess it really is).

Shocking is an understatement.

Some local and regional eats represented in those shots:

Taco Cabana - yummy Tex Mex fast food
Whataburger - what a burger!
Shipleys - great donuts, but nailed by INS this year for employing illegals
Beck's Prime - only a couple in Houston, so this gal is going out of her way for a little beverage

The photos actually remind me of a show I saw on BBC. Clean Sweep or something. 2 professional house cleaners would go in and teach people how to clean. One lady's house was exactly like this one.

I don't know what's more disturbing, the pictures of the house or the fact that noone is surprised that fletch has been to crackhouses. 8O

I don't feel so bad about my house anymore :) It is amazing that people would even approach living like that. There had to be bugs/rats somewhere.

Does it look set up to anyone? Parts of it looked staged to me. Like, why aren't any of the cups or cans crushed or smashed? Would'nt at least a few of them be? And the way alot of the stuff is segregated, like there's a bunch of pizza boxes here, then a bunch of orange and white cups here...

And those piles of cigarette butts look like somebody dumped the whole pile there at once, not like they were individually smoked and put out in the exact same spot over time. The cigarette butts themselves are all the same, why aren't some crushed?

I'm not saying the place wasn't a mess to begin with, but it looks to me like there was some embellishing.

I've been thinking about this way too long, back to work. :D
