OT - Local news babes

Being a resident of the Houston area, I've gotten a LOT of local news over the last week pre/post Ike. Was without power for 4 days, but once power came on the local news has been everpresent. Time to show some appreciation for some of the local "talent"

I live in Syracuse, where there are no world-class hot babes on TV because it's an entry-level TV market. If you're truly hot in the image-is-everything business of TV news, you skip markets like Syracuse and start at the next level.

Plus I rarely watch local TV news. It's hokey as sh*t.

So I must look to my hometown for six weeks per year, Indianapolis. And Indy has an absolutely stunning meteorologist, Angela Buchman:

That's a bit of a mousey shot, as she is simply a beautiful woman. Killer equipment, too. Probably 5-8, with about 4-8 of that lean legs.

Indy TV stations are live on the air for six hours before the start of the Indianapolis 500, much like the networks are for the Super Bowl. WISH TV 8, Buchman's station, usually goes live from the balcony right on the other side of the glass from where I work. Needless to say, it's a bit tougher to get work done on Race Morning than normal for me and nearly every guy who sits around me.

She used to be on Rogers Sportsnet in Toronto and now is a host on Leafs TV.

They don't really have local stations.

They don't really have network news broadcasts like the ones here either.

I agree. She'll be gone to Philly or something. I watch her every morning while getting ready for work (nice incentive to get my ass up!) and she is no bimbo. She does a pretty good job...for a former beauty queen

In Atlanta there are several pretty hot local news anchors, but I hardly ever watch. However, waking up early one morning I was mesmerized by the weather girl for WGCL-TV/CBS 46, Dagmar Midcap. She has now moved on to the evening local news. I heard her on the radio one morning talking about how she watches MotoGP and her favorite rider was Valentino Rossi. The sports talk radio guys she was with had no idea what she was even talking about, but after that I was hooked.
