MACT, if we can get Macca, you, myself and whoever else has 09 north of the border we can teach our neighbors a lesson or two. :)

I am in, although the only border I can be considered directly north of, is Turkish. 8)

I do have to warn you though... while I appreciate your confidence in my abilities, I am more of a hindrance than an asset at this point. I only have one night of NHL under my belt in the last 7 or 8 years.

RallyMonkey wrote: On that note, who was with XXXIV, myself and Sport in that 10-2 game? I can't remember for the life of me but there were times it felt like the ole CCCP where i didn't have to look i just knew he'd be there when i made the pass and vice versa.

Hey Rally,

T'was me (DrMacca) and I agree - was a ton of fun playing on the same line as you - I just had to get open and you'd find me! Your movement with and without the puck was amazing. Also loved having XXXIV on D! Love to play on your line again - can't go wrong with Cam Neely! :)

You know, this game is GREAT for my wallet. I have no interest in any of the other games that have recently come out, or are coming out soon. On-line with the DSP crowd, or offline with my BAP, I haven't been this addicted to a game in a while...

I'll be on after ritually self-flaggelating while watching CNBC. :)

Yes. The infamous, CNBC - masochist edition. You really miss the political thread, don't you? :)

Rob is single handedly trying to turn every thread on DSP into a discussion about politics:) I hope we start a religion thread and an abortion thread after the politics thread gets unbanned. That'll keep things interesting.

...OK! back to our regularly scheduled hockey programming. Hope to see you dudes on tonight.

Not true. The economy is non-partisan madness.

Enough with the tongue-in-cheek political commentary in every thread Rob. The thread was locked for a reason and a new one will be started when Jared feels it's right. Until then let's stay on topic.

Are you f'in kidding me? Saying that I'm going to torture myself by watching CNBC on a day when the market is down 450 points is "tongue in cheek political commentary?" I was going to watch CNBC before playing NHL. That's a political statement of some sort? There's not a single political element to any part of that. It's a fact that the market was brutal; I didn't say a damn thing about the election, any politician or candidate. Give me a freaking break!

Holy shizzle... he actually took it seriously. I was joking, Scoop, not that it requires explanation, but I am sure you will feel better inside knowing.

EDIT: On the actual subject of NHL, I am still at work, so I doubt I will be able to mess things up for anyone in OTP today.

Sign me up. In all honesty, I haven't played any BAP yet, but I play real hockey, so I at least know how to play the positions. :P

Anything but goalie would be good. Also, I need to find my live headshot which disappeared during my move!

My live tage is Ace EZ.

And I'm Canadian... :P

** Victor Banting ** Fix?

Hi Guys,

Anyone know if there is a fix for players whose names are showing as Victor Banting in Club rosters? In my club my name in the roster shows as Victor Banting.. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I think you can go to performance stats or something to that extend and edit your player.

Was a little bummed I could only get one game in last night... looking forward to more.

Do we need more scorers? I made a defenseman 'cause I figured there'd be a glut of wings and centers.

Macman was impressive in goal. In the last half of that game against Stephen Jackson and Co. it looked like we were almost starting to get half of an idea on offense. What happened the rest of the night?

Well I would say that the market and economy have everything to do with politics. I would also say that CNN has a lot to do with politics. I would also say that your posting has changed since the political thread was locked and I was just pointing it out. That was the genius of it Rob, the fact that it was so underhanded you couldn't possibly be making a statement, right? I don't pay attention to the politics thread because I find they often devolve into bashfests and they usually get too serious and personal. Your thread title was inappropriate and Jared warned you about it. It's obviously a bug up your ass because you changed your Xbox Live motto to reflect that as well. If you honestly didn't have a sliver of thought regarding the locking of the political thread and Jared's warning in your poker night thread than I sincerely apologize. And if you did than give me a freaking break. :D

Guys, we can't have this kind of dissent in the locker room! There is no 'I' in team! (just a 'me'). This show-boating, TO-style attitude has been proven to bring down many a Franchise, and I simply can't sit idly by and watch that happen to the sub .500 Ice Dragons.

Leave your political discussion in the politics thread. In here, we're all on the same team, with one goal...

Literally, the Ice Dragons have scored only once. We're that bad.

No, our goal is the EASHL championship, and to get there we'll need to stick together (and for the rest of the videogame-hockey-playing world to simultaneous die, or break both thumbs). We have the opportunity to accomplish something very special, or at the very least an opportunity to demonstrate that we are 'special'.

GameSeven may be the leader of this team; our Big Toe. But that big toe won't always be there, so I'd like to offer my leadership to this team.

Just like the dragons of mythology, we can breath fire onto the EASHL.

Astoundingly, a GIS of "DSP Big Toe" turns up this gem:

No that's *not* me, but it *is* creepy.
