360 and PS3, and Wii as well, I believe, though the Wii version is different.

What do I think?

I think I'm 15 years past my videogaming prime... least. Man, this game is FAST! LOL

It's pretty damn amazing, though.

I thought it was pretty fun. A little loose on the targeting and whatnot (I'd rather have LT for Force and RT for saber swings), so it's weird having to take your finger off of the R stick to swing the saber. I enjoyed it, though.

Day one purchase for me, I played through the first two difficulties without getting killed but on the Sith difficulty I keep getting my ass handed to me at the halfway point. Beautiful graphics and fun gameplay.

Fun as hell! I don't usually base a potential purchase on a demo because I'm usually disappointed, but I'm already sold on this one.

The funny thing is, the whole reason I logged on was to download NHL 2K9 and 'Force Unleashed' stole the show.

Actually there is another SW game coming out for wii too. Clone wars where you can use the wii remote as your lightsaber.

This one is more like a fighting game right?

As in Soul Calibur-ish? Hell no! It's a story based adventure game, that has a story that looks to be killer, as well. In fact, it's 'canon'. You are the secret apprentice of Darth Vader. And you are one powerful SOB!

I was very impressed with this demo and I thought after every preview movie that I watched that it looked merely decent. Not just graphically, as a game too. Playing through the demo was quite an experience though. This game is a day one purchase for me now.

Is it true that there is no PC version in the works for this game? Could this end up being what makes me buy a next-gen console and not a racing game?

As far as I know it's console only.

Was interested in the game from the start and the demo solidified my feelings. Reminded me a lot of an old Xbox game by Midway called Psi-Ops - was a fantastic game that combined 3rd person shooting with 'force powers' but had a really intuitive control scheme.

The control scheme was a bit weird.

The game felt too scripted for me however. In fact it just felt like KOTOR with force powers. I liked KOTOR but expected a bit more this time. I think it's just a rental for me.

Given the downward trend in the movies as exhibited by the utter shite of the latest animated Star Wars movie at least we haven't seen the quality of the video games fall off on the same curve.

Best wishes,

As much as I have enjoyed the demo and will certainly be picking it up, I had no idea this game warrants being in the same category as the GTAs, Halos and Maddens of the world. The guy at Gamestop said they're doing a midnight release for this game.

It's Star Wars, and it's good. Of course they're going to hype the hell out of it! I'm too damned old to be at any midnight release, but I'll pick it up the next day...

Circuitcity.com is giving a $10 gift card with it when you preorder it so I ordered it there with free shipping, figure I can wait an extra few days for it with NHL 09 getting most of my time now plus Rock Band 2 comes out tomorrow. Soooooooo many great games out and not enough time to play them!

Review: http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/910/910032p1.html

It's unfortunate that it only got a review in the 7 range, but I'm still getting it.

This line says it all for me:
While it's far from perfect, Star Wars fans will find that it's worth playing through simply for its story and the ability to use the Force in fairly awesome ways.

Shipped from GF today. Expectations are pretty low considering the feesback I've read since the demo, so in a weird way I'm really looking forward to it.

Mine shipped as well. I'm excited to see the settings at the very least, and a little pumped for some well-done Star Wars cutscenes that are halfway serious. Here's hoping. Some good game in there will be gravy.
