My reaction is a bit different...Though ...To be honest...Im not happy to see him go...I want to see him lose on the field.
It'll be a trying year for the Seahawks. It's Holmgren's last year coaching in SEA (thank goodness) and with S. Alexander out of the team, you wonder where this team is heading. But they still have the Arizona Cardinals, the 49ers and the Rams on the schedule twice each in this weak division.
Poor special teams, inexperienced with a couple of rookies and the end result was a woop a$$ in the hands of the Bills.

Losing in the SB wasn't enough?
NBC Sunday Night Football is just horrible. Too many people on the set. You have Keith and Dan milking the SC experience a a decade past when it was cool. Barber and The Bus offer very little. Peter King is okay but he talks like every other sport "insider". What is going on with that cadence?
Just put Cris Colinsworth on for 60 minutes. Sheesh isn't that hard.

Man this Bears rookie RB is running like a raped ape tonight! I was gonna pick him up off waivers in my fantasy leage, but one of the guys who spends hours a day preparing for the draft already had him...

Got him with the last pick in my one draft. There was pretty considerable buzz about him for the past few weeks so when I saw him still available in the last round I had to take him. I got Chris Johnson (TN) also. Could be big because Stephen Jackson (my 1st rd pick) didn't impress today.

How many fantasy league owners are $hitting themselves right now?
Charger game was disappointing. Losing on the final play is crappy. Our D is weaker than last year especially against the passing game but still overall it just seems like the panthers were able to do more than I would've liked. Merriman looked slower, less explosive.
The undrafted rookie FB Tolbert looks like he might be a decent find (3 catches for 36 yards) but definitely a down grade from Neal in the blocking department. Gates looked healthy and made some awesome catches. Tomlinson didn't have a great game but made some good runs here and there. Its a bit early to say whether or not the line is going to get things done for him. We're going to miss Turner and Neal this season:(
Man, I REALLY miss the days of Madden and Summeral on Fox Nfl Sunday... It's a well known and often lamented fact that most of you guys hate Madden with a passion, but I love the guy for some reason..
He was just talking about the bears and said "They have out-physicalled the Colts tonight... You can't make this s*** up but he just did!

This is worst because it's the 1st game of the season. No more football after the SB and I could look forward to trying it again. I've calmed down a little and I keep telling myself, Teams win, not just the QB. 10 win season and hopefully a nice run in the playoffs possibly a SB appearance....wake me please this is a nightmare!!!!!!
You never like to see a guy go down for the season in Week 1, but Brady's injury couldn't happen to a more arrogant fan base in the NFL than Patriot Nation.
I feel bad for Brady; I shed no tears for Patriot Nation.
Hey, why not the Bills for the AFC East? Looked pretty damn good against Seattle today. The AFC East might return as an NFL beast this season -- should be a VERY competitive division.
Take care,
PK

I didn't mind them at all with their Sunday coverage, it's just that they were rather bland for video games.

Me ...pick me
I liked him from the get go (2000 yard season at Tulane last year), but I thought the Bears line was going to give him no chance. Their run blocking was really strong and Forte showed a lot of vision and burst. Kevin Jones looked pretty good too.
It's only one game, but the Bears looked like the 2005 team that won 11 games, only Orton is better now than he was then.
Now I'm really excited that I'm going to the Carolina game next week.
