They used to charge for this app, but now it's free. You can add friends, send messages on Live through the iphone.

Yeah, it's a piece of sh*t. Constantly crashes, pain in the ass to do anything in regards to adding friends or messaging. I'd avoid it personally.

The MLB Gameday app received a BIG update today. It now has a full "in-game" interface for live games...

Absolutely! It's seems to be about 30 secs behind live action as well - slick.

Now where the hell is the NFL app???????

I finally had a chance to check this out and agree...it's awesome. Now if the Cardinals could only find a way to climb back into the wild card race, I'd be loving life.

Heard there is an Obama 08 app. available in the App. Store.

Among the features is to sort your address book by swing state so you can call and encourage your friends to support a certain candidate.

If anyone is up for some real retro gaming, there's an old school "mattel football" game. It's called "LED Football". Awesome.

Excellent! Hope they bring out the coleco version (the one where you could also pass the ball) sometime soon.

So, it finally happened. SOMEHOW  there's a small scratch on my screen (the glass). It's not the biggest scratch ever, but I called the apple store & the guy said the cheapest thing to do was buy a 'replacement glass' off the web. He said it's easy to replace at home. Other option, pay the apple store to do it (can be replaced 'on the spot').

Anyone have any experience with either of these options??? Suggestions?

Sorry to hear about that Gregg. I've had mine since week one and still have not even the slightest scratch anywhere on my glass screen. Do you know what happened? I've dropped mine like 50+ times (including multiple drops on concrete) and nothing *knocks on wood so far. Good to hear the Apple Store does do replacements on teh spot though.

No idea how it happened. I'm so freakin careful with the thing, it's ridiculous (I've never had any "oh sh*t" moments). I just looked at the other day, and noticed a little "something". It's a very minor scratch. My wife couldn't find it, but once u see it, u always see it, you know?

Anyway, since it's so small. A few people recommended just taking to a watch repair shop and they could just buff it out in about 2 seconds (quicker & cheaper option). Should that not work, then I might pay Apple to replace it. To be continued...

The replacement will cost you 175 for the 4 g and 250 for the 8g.

I have the same thing. I've only dropped it twice within weeks of owning it.

It's doesn't really break up the screen but you always know it's there. Replacing the thing is as much as a new 3g so it's not really cost effective to replace it. And I don't really need a 3g because there's not 3g in my area.

It sucks.

Let me know how good that case is...it looks pretty nice. I have a Seidio one for my 3G and its ok...not as good as the one I had for my 1st Gen iPhone.

I guess the original iPhone has electronics attached to the glass (hence more expensive). On the 3g's, the glass is basically a stand-alone piece.
