Number 4 is a pain in the a$$.

Which is their 'Mea Culpa'. Get rid of him ASAP, the longer this drags on the more Favre looks like an innocent dude just looking for a job not to mention the distractions it causes to the team.XXXIV wrote:Bingo!!!....Danimal wrote: Seems to me they are saying we don't want you, but we don't want anyone els to have you.

Was that a Port Authority bus that just ran over Chad Pennington?greggsand wrote:Favre is a Jet. Enjoy a 6 & 10 season!

At least I get to see Favre play the Bills twice per year, hopefully two Buffalo victories.
Take care,

ESPN.com really is hilarious, isn't it? The Web site has featured every Favre fart, every Favre muscle twitch as its lead story for the last two weeks.
Yet at 12:30 a.m. (ET), the lead story remains a feature about whether athletes are really clean from drugs at Beijing, and the "off lead" at the upper right is the Favre deal.
With the saturation overcoverage and hype that ESPN has provided the Favre story, I would have expected a special splash page screaming "DEAL OF THE CENTURY" before the regular ESPN.com home page appeared with Favre as the lead.
I can only guess ESPN.com is downplaying the story right now because foxsports.com beat ESPN to the story. So in ESPN's arrogant mind, if the Worldwide Leader didn't report it first, it's really not Earth-shattering news even though ESPN should have its tail between its legs for getting beat on this story.
Follow-up: SI.com is doing the same damn thing! It is leading with a preview of the PGA. Unreal that these two "news" outlets have been in Favre's jock for the last two weeks but now consider his trade to be less important news than two features since Foxsports.com beat both to the story.
Now, you damn well know what story is the lead on Foxsports.com!
Take care,
PK

Sad thing is, Pennington was becoming a pretty good NFL quarterback until he hurt his shoulder. Now anything longer than 15 yards out of his arm looks like a wounded duck.Danimal wrote:Jets are going to cut Chad, they have to come up with 10 mil somewhere for cap reasons.
God I hope he doesn't end up in Bears camp.

I'm glad to see Favre go to the AFC. I would have been tempted to drive to Green Bay and whoop some ass if they traded him to the Viqueens.
Tarvaris Jackson sucks bad. He does not limit mistakes either.
While I was extremely impressed with Adrian Peterson last year I want to see him do it again now that the league has had a full year to game plan for him. I remember a certain Cadillac impressing everyone in his rookie year but now he's average at best. The Vikes defense will be outstanding.
I also believe the Bears will be better than everyone is giving them credit for. Kool-aid? Perhaps, but they had no business going 7-9 last year with the amount of injuries they had and the play they got from the o-line and Benson. They could have easily gone 3-13 with that team. Forte should be better than Benson and the line got better the minute they cut Fred Miller. Bernard Berrian was so hit or miss that I'm not upset to see him go. Moose was a whiny little b*tch who wouldn't accept the role of mentor for Hester and I'll gladly take Marty Booker back instead of him. Now let's see if the defense can stay healthy. Also, I keep thinking that Orton is going to surprise some people this year when he gets the job. He is cool under pressure and actually goes through his progressions.

Vikings need to give Pennington a call.

If so, their receivers certainly won't need oxygen on the sidelines this season.JackDog wrote:Vikings need to give Pennington a call.

Brett will not see the playoffs again if they don't. This is like Jordan playing for the Wizards.

With Jackson at QB they will. The receiving corp will have more tackles than the CB's.pk500 wrote:If so, their receivers certainly won't need oxygen on the sidelines this season.JackDog wrote:Vikings need to give Pennington a call.

During the Grossman era it has been very rare where I was watching a game and not thinking to myself that I wish we had the other quarterback. Watching Jackson was one of those rare times.
