Thanks fellas, I'll give it a try. I was a bit frustrated that even though I purchased a ringtone, it wouldn't work in the proper folder.

Something tells me that if you had a cellphone you would need the midi version of Locomotive.

Anyone having problems with email on the iphone lately? My phone hasn't been able to get any emails since Tuesday. I updated to Outlook 2007 that night so I am guessing that is where the problem is. Any known problems with Outlook 2007? Anyone have answers?

The Push email was down through MobileMe for about a day. It's back up and working on my phone now at least. Still can't get my calendar to sync from the site to the phone though. Not sure what the hell that's all about.

I can't figure it out. It has worked like a charm since I bought the phone a year ago and now it's just stopped. I screwed up earlier today....trying to fix the problem I mistakenly deleted ALL of my contacts from Outlook...synced the phone and deleted them all off the phone! Luckily a system restore threw my iPhone in a time machine and fixed it. I had done a Windows update this morning before my brain fart so I had a very recent restor point...everything is back to normal - other than my email not working on the phone. What a day.

For whatever reason after updating to the latest firmware, my iphone went into recovery mode. I only see the usb icon to connect to itunes and the iphone is frozen. Anyone else run into this problem and if so, what's the fix?

You would just be one of many to get your iphone bricked by the update. A trip to the Apple Store is in your future my friend.

Well they ran a poll on Howardforums and something like only 3 or 4 percent got bricked. LOL...not that that helps you any. Give one of the Genius bar dudes a call and see if they have figured anything out to do over the phone.

Quick update. Spent over an hour with a Tech Rep, the latest itunes update and iphone firmware does cause some instability to a lot of folks together or individually speaking. I managed to restore the iphone but I have to download all my songs, photos, appointments, etc all over again. The fellow even suggested using the original 3G iphone usb cable to use for any updates instead of the old one (I have like 3 different ipods) when connecting to itunes.

Not impressed Apple.

My first generation IPhone froze over the weekend...fortunately, the 20% battery indicator had just flashed and I only had to let it completely run out of battery...as soon as it did and I recharged, everything was fine. That's like the second time it's happened in the last year.

Did you try holding the top button and the 'home' button down at the same time? I have had a couple freezes and that reboot it right away.

Actually I did (that's usually enough to fix the issue for me as well)...on these two occasions though, not even that was working..

Just thought I'd pass along a free app that I have been digging. It's called vSnax and it shows videos from sources such as VH1, CBS News, Gametrailers, and G4TV among others. Can't beat the price and the ability to watch Madden trailers on the crapper. :D

I'm talking about phones with a Mic as well (to be handsfree).
BTW...I'm not sure if you've picked some up yet, but you know how I suggested the CX300 Sennheisers but you needed the Mic? Well, get the Sennheiser MM50ip model is exactly the same, but with a mic. They are brilliant.

I just noticed that Gametrailers is gone from the channel list with the newest version of this app. Sorry for getting your hopes up GT but it was there with the first version of this app.

Thanks. I managed to restore my iPhone with a rep, and I was quite concerned as pressing the home & power button did not reset my frozen screen. Apple needs to improve and test try their firmware before releasing it.

Another of my issues is the 3G coverage. Hardly as fast as they advertise it (quicker than Edge for sure) but at par with any WI-FI speed. However being able to connect anywhere anytime is awesome.
