OT: 2008/2009 DSP Fantasy Premier League

The season is going to be kicking off just a few weeks from now. Who's in?

I've created a league at premierleague.com as usual. Here's the code to join.

I'll return to defend my title. What catchy phrase comes after Threepeat? Is there one for 4 or 5 in a row? Who wants to wager?

Time for another Man City-esque good early start, followed by indecisive selection and mid-table mediocrity :D

Guys, I think it is time we make a small trophy as a symbol of winning the league.

The trophy can be sent to the winner....Snate again :( and he can take a picture of himself holding the trophy. The pic can then be placed on the home page of DSP per Jareds approval.

Every year, the trophy will be sent to the winner, like the Standley Cup.

I nominate Jimmy to make the small trophy as he is a wizard with wood.

I like the trophy idea. If you want to do inscriptions like the Stanley Cup:

2004/2005 Champion - snate
2005/2006 Champion - snate
2006/2007 Champion - snate
2007/2008 Champion - snate

So in other words we are investing in a trophy that won't ever leave snate's residence.

It's the turn of the English this time - I can feel it in me water.

And I'll again be competing with my self-imposed handicap of no MU scum. So my achievement will be all the more noteworthy.

<note - the above statement does not constitute a guarantee...apart from the MU bit.>

Any interest in shifting over to the Guardian's leagues? Their scoring system seems substantially more robust.

Knowing the Guardian, it'll be giving points for 'intellectual rigour' and 'record of giving to charities' - even by my liberal standards it's a haven for tedious handwringers.

Plus they are the ones who coined the nickname 'Human Rights FC' for City after our beloved Thai overlord took over.

I say NO !!

Yeah, I'll just be sticking with premierleague.com. I play in another league with my roommates and a few other friends and I don't want to be toggling between the two at different places.

Who is this G H guy from New Zealand that is at the top of the table in our league? Did someone invite Bret, Jemaine or Murray from Flight of the Conchords to play with us?
