Wow, even the tag was close. At the begining of the 13th inning, guys were just swinging at everything trying to end the game, definitely a pitcher's game tonight.
If FOX would have just started the game an hour later and added only one more 30-second promo between each half inning, I could have caught the end of the game before leaving for work this morning.
Why they brought Wagner in to face Longoria, I'll never know. Yeah, I can understand bringing in a lefty to face a lefty, but I'd much rather have Wilson out there than Wagner. Wagner IMO blew the game for the NL.

You gotta give Longoria credit. It's not like Wagner hung the pitch he hit. The guy hit a slider down in the zone and hooked it fair.

Not giving McCann an at bat lost it for the NL.
McCann missed the tag on the last play. HE blew it.

Tag would have been easier had Hart not rolled the ball there underhanded.

That was awesome. Highlight of the night for sure.
John Lackey pitched a gem for the Angels as he just misses the 'No hitter' in the 9th inning. The result in the end was good for the Jays (they are still in the race) as Bosox loses but who would have thought that Tampa would still lead in the AL east at this time?
Any rumors of A.J. Burnett moving was put to rest by the GM as he said he was going nowhere.
Color me shocked that the Cubs handled Sabathia and Sheets so easily, especially the way Chicago has been hitting after the All-Star break. I think they can win at least one of these last two, especially with the way Dempster and Harden have been pitching this month.

Considering Bay wasn't going to be in Pitt. much longer, getting Brandon Moss,Craig Hanson, Andy LaRoche, and Bryan Morris,is about as good as the Buccos were going to do. That gives the Pirates two LaRoches doesn't it ?
Hell of a series by the Cubs, who really started clicking on all cylinders at the right time. Classy way to go out by the Brewers, too Maybe Gagne can spend his suspension watching tapes of when he was actually good. LOL

I like the move of J. Bay to the Bosox, although he would have done wonders for the Jays and their now well known RISP dilemma. Sure they'll miss a big clutch hitter in Manny, but Bay should do just fine, although I see the Yankees moving ahead of them very soon.

You mean when he was juiced?
As for the Cubs...I hate you guys!...No I really mean it I really really hate you guys....
