For those that didn't get on this, I'm sure there will be an actual NCAA league (for playing games against humans, not an online dynasty) as well (depending on if the game doesn't have any horrific flaws)...so this will not be the only DSP league.

I'll probably set-up a DSP Short Season league (you'll play everyone else only once) followed by a league vote on the school rankings and then we'll have some sort of Bowl series (DSP theme of course). Look out for that in the next few weeks.

Can't wait to see how this thing plays out. I was totally unaware of how cool this new feature in the NCAA game was going to be. Thanks for setting this up guys, its going to be a blast!

No problem calling it DSP...there can be both a DSP league and a DSP dynasty. Or multiple leagues.

FYI, I'll try and remember tonight to give you the keys to the league software Macsom...hopefully it'll be pretty easy to use.

That's the thing... I'd prefer more human vs computer games with the occasional human vs human matchup. I think it would be very interesting to compare stats with other humans as we learn the game and challenge the computer. For instance the Heisman race would be so much more interesting (if we had a player good enough for the Heisman).

If something opens up I'd love to join. If not I completely understand.

If you do another league, do that 1-3 prestige teams. Thats a better idea to measure skill level. btw, is there a list of all the teams in the game?

Question for you Danimal. I didn't see any SEC teams listed with 1-3 prestige. I would think that there have to be a few of them. Was there a reason for that?

My list is at home so I can't say for sure but I thought there was definitely SEC teams.

I am guessing the blogger tool cut my post down for length and I didn't notice it. I will check tonight when i get home.

Also since I haven't heard from Teal or ddtrane and its been several days I am guessing they don't want in.

I know Teal has been on the forums and I guess I'm of the mind if you ask to sign up for something like ddtrane and then don't come back and check it for a few days I'm not sure how that would work for the league.

I've already contacted the one alternate (via PM so please check it) to get us back to 8 which is what I wanted anyway. We should have the players set by tonight and can start the drafting over the weekend.

This is really why I didn't want to do this in a thread because I feel guilty axing 2 people, but it would have taken a month to set up by IM. If this goes well we can always expand and decrease at any time.

The cool thing is if for some reason this tanks you can get a file and continue this as an off line dynasty.

These are the random pairs I drew and the order in which they can select a conference. Keep in mind you have the following options for conference selection.

1. Discuss it with your paired owner and choose a conference, it would be best if all groups sent me a list of 4 choices if you go this route by Monday night please.

2. If you can't agree or don't care you will get a conference randomly selected for you after all other pairs have chosen via #1. You go into the random selection in the same priority order, thus if pair 1 and pair 3 are going random pair one gets their random draw first.

Pair1
Badger_Fan - Central
jondiehl - Central

Pair 2
grtwhtsk - Central
macsomjrr - Pacific

Pair 3
Jared - Eastern
eman – Eastern

Pair 4
Danimal - Central
ScoopBrady – Central

Also so I don't have to hunt can you send me your gamer tag (if it's not on the blog already) and email via PM over at DSP as soon as you can.

Thanks

I would like to be in if its not too late. I just got back in from CHI a few minutes ago.

If anyone in the BAL/WAS wants the game early for the weekend, please pm for details.

I do feel bad for snipping you out, so I am going to expand to 9 but thats it.
Also since you said you don't care much about the head to head i am going to place you in a lone conference by yourself for now and if we expand then I add someone to it.

Also you're going to be the last pairing pick because I don't think it is fair to randomly draw again. So with that said:

Pair1
Badger_Fan - Central
jondiehl - Central

Pair 2
grtwhtsk - Central
macsomjrr - Pacific

Pair 3
Jared - Eastern
eman – Eastern

Pair 4
Danimal - Central
ScoopBrady – Central

Pair 5
ddtrane - ???

My gamer tag is Data Badger.

Jon and I went through the conferences and have picked the Big 12. He's going to take Kansas and I'll take Kansas State. I thought you said that if we could just agree on teams that we could choose them ourselves. So if that's the case, then we have:

Big 12
jondiehl - Kansas
Badger - Kansas State
The sing-along songs'll be our scriptures.

Few updates.

- Pair one selected the Big 12 conference and used the optional rule of selecting their teams. Please remember if you guys can agree on teams you don't need to do the random team selection.

- Pair two selected the Mountain West conference but didn't select teams so i pmed them to make sure they kept in mind the optional rule, I won't bring it up again.

- Jared and eman are up next. eman told me he doesn't care what conference and would leave it up to jared I am just posting that because I know eman is away until Sunday night, so Jared conference pick is on you.

- After everyone gets the game I am going to give a little time for people to get adjusted. I hear there are issues with kick and punt returns being way too easy so we may house rule that.

Better read up on the disappearing rosters from EA Locker before you start your dynasty. However, when you play online, are there named rosters? If there aren't you may be ok.

EDIT: whoops scratch what I said below I didn't see that thread I thought you meant something else.

I've read up on it and doesn't seem like a big issue. Regardless the league file uses whatever rosters and setting I set it up with. So if I have named rosters and create it then everyone should have them.

Of course this is all hypothetical since I don't know who has tested the Online Dynasty yet.

My preference is Conference USA and UCF...but if eman has other preferences, I'm flexible.
