Yeah, nothing fancy with the camera. I currently have the 360 hooked up to my 22' widescreen monitor, and snap the photos by holding my camera about a foot from the screen. Pictures turn out better than I would've expected honestly.

Wish they woulda made it so we could upload the cars back up from the 360.

I gotta say I'm liking the canadiens car the best. The colors just seem to work really together especially the big logo over the rear tires. On the flip side please do not take the rams car on the road with me anytime soon. Wow that thing is hideous:) I'm talking bout the mostly gold one, the blue one is cool.

When are we going to get a DSP race going so we can show off these beauties on the track? Any racers free next week?

Love that Habs' car, 34, especially the players above the rear bumper.

Take care,

OK, I still haven't bought this game. Is the game as good as the paint-job making?

Yes the game actually is very good which is a shocker given the poor results last year.

The actual game is much more fun than the paint shop mode but the PSM just adds a whole new dimension to everything. It's a bit weak that you can't see other people designs online without being on their friends list (I'm getting tired of racing against grey cars). Even though you're just going around and around on an oval on most tracks it is still one of the best racing experiences I've ever had on a console. GRID is fun, but NASCAR 09 is "funner." :) To be honest I'm kind of bummed that GRID came out when it did because this is the ideal game for poker night/DSP stuff. It would be cool to get a big group and actually get to see people's designs on the track.

Nascar is really fun. I think 05 was still better since it had a deeper career mode and you raced some different types of cars, plus rivalry system, but this is the best one on the next gen systems.

I need to find some way to sneak in a copy of this, plus the wireless wheel into the office/geek den of the house we just moved in to!

Hmmmm, I can see it now.....

"Hun, I've already shelled out over a grand at Home Depot on things, what's another $200???? "

Stupid question, but can a wheel for the PC work if it's USB? I doubt it very much, but hey, you never know.....

Well much like some others i think i'm going to have to grab this. Two questions:

1) can it be enjoyed with just the controller (i'm sure the wheel would be better but i don't think i'll be picking one up) and more importantly

2) can i talk someone into making me a Patriots and/or Red Sox car for me to grab!

I only use the controller and I have no problems at all. I increased the linearity a little bit and I think it helps with 'saving' the car if the rear end jumps out, but otherwise the default settings are very usable.

No way in hell I ever make a Patriots car :)

I had purchased Grid and rented Nascar 09.

Grid went back, got $42 credit, purchased Nascar 09.

Yup, GRID just doesn't do it for me either. Nascar is so much more fun for me.

I'm running a couple of threads over at the OS racing forum for Nascar contests. One is for car painting(I'm looking at you, Teal!!!) and one is for a general game giveaway. If you can't afford the game or don't want to pay for it, but want to play it, check out the contest threads in the racing forum. We're giving away 3 MS Wireless wheels (for the paint contest) and 3 copies of the game for the "sob story" contest. An easy way to get into the NASCAR action :)
