Fun stuff Rob. Glad I was able to pull of the tie in that second game. Definitely should have tried to take more advantage of my giant striker Carew but it didn't happen.

I've updated the first post with the new standings (Rob moves into first jumping Macca, Norway continues to fall, and Switzerland is yet to play a game:)) You'll also notice I got bored and threw up everyones team logo according to the current standings. Slovakia sits proudly above us all for now

************NOTICE FOR ALL LEAGUE TEAMS*************
Keep in mind that we're all playing THREE games against each other and then we'll have a single elimination tourney between the top four teams. 1st v. 4th, 2nd v. 3rd followed by the finals and a third place game. You can see how many games you've played against everyone else by scrolling to the right on the main league screen (where you can see everyone's gamertags).

Great games so far. Good luck for the rest of the tournament!

Hey Mac...you missed the two games I reported yesterday morning between Jack and I. Jack and I tied 0-0 first game and second game I won 2-0. Bulgaria has a current record of 2-1-1

Great games, Macca. Still cant' get over that save by Given in the last game. Probably wouldn't have made a difference, but it would've made my goal differential a bit more respectable anyway

Shay Given stole the show in that 3rd game with an amazing point blank save and just moments later the Slovak keeper fluffed a shot from Robbie Keane to put the Irish 1-0 up.

EDIT: Doh, didn't see Rob's post. At least our info matched...would have been funny to read totally different recounts of that last game. Hmmm...maybe I should change mine.....

Sorry I am a soccer standings newb. Doesn't GP mean games played? If so, Bulgaria has played 4 games with 2 wins, 1 loss, and 1 tie. Sorry for confusion.

I know it looks bad right now for the Swiss... but I promise I'll get me games in. Tough lately between work and racing how to watch Euro before I go to sleep.

Two rain games. And one was a real slogger (much likeke the Turkey & Swiss game this week). Basically a tarpit down the middle of the pitch.

Swiss 0 : Norway 1

Norway 0 : Swiss 1

Both really fun games played in heavy, heavy rains. First game was won with a goal by the Norwegian giant Carew after he managed to dribble himself free in the box and tuck the ball away in the top right corner. Second games goal was a screamer by the Swiss after an absolutely botched offside trap by Norway left the goalie one on one.

OK the first post is updated with the most recent results. Slovakia jumps over the Irish into first place and Norway jumps into contention just behind third place Bulgaria.

As always let me know if I've made any egregious errors.
