Anyway, I don't know if we just have to go with two Irelands at this point or if I can drop and rejoin... thoughts?
I'm Ok with two Irelands but you might want to try dropping and then rejoining first.

I see no option to drop... so I guess it's the tale of two Irish.

And aren't we missing someone?

And what's up with the total lack of information on the league page (in Euro)

And one more question... what do you guys think about Euro compared to Fifa?

You can drop from the league as I did from the first one. I think you press back or start and a small menu pops up.

back is the help menu and start did nothing. Tried pretty much every other button I could find, so unless it's some Yie Ar Kung Fu drop kick combination I don't see how you can drop.

If you can tell me how to do it I'll drop and grab Switzerland.

ok..joined the league as Bulgaria. Is there a website for the league through EA or something, or is it all through the 360? Because looking at it just through the 360, it didnt give much info, I didnt even see team names...just gamertags...unless I was missing something.

Yeah EA's league sites are pretty awful.

I think we are supposed to post results here and standings are kept on page 1 of the thread.

One more match in the books;

Denmark 0 Rep. Ireland 4

A rain-soaked, muddy pitch held host to this one. Ireland's first goal by Kevin Doyle could only be classified as fortuitous as the ball hit him in the head before trickling across the line while Sorenson fell asleep in the Denmark goal.

Good game, Jack. I'll catch you later in the rematch.

EDIT: Great choice with Bulgaria, Truth - I've played with them before, with Berbatov and the 2 Petrov's they've got a fun team to play with.

Slovakia 3
Bulgaria 0

Good games, Truth. Talk about two totally different games! LOL

I updated the first post. Some of the GF / GA stats might be a bit off as I ran through it. Let me know if anything needs to be changed.

Looking forward to getting some games in this week:)

Updated again. Had to move Bulgaria up two spots into 5th place because of their win today against Slovakia.

Have another two games to report... against Denmark (JackB).

Denmark 0
Bulgaria 0

Bulgaria 2
Denmark 0

Good games Rob and Jack. I will be going on vacation starting Saturday so hopefully I can get a few more games in. Usually online starting at 9:30cst...pretty much the only time I have for gaming.

good games Macca and Truth. I am still looking for my first league goal :(

I had a couple of great chances against Truth and couldn't put it away.
Against Macca, I was totally overmatched.

Would appreciate any tips from you FIFA/Euro veterans. I feel lost out there.
Are you making any changes to any settings before the game? Do you make substitutions at any time? Are there any little "button tricks" that I should learn to make use of? I basically just try and pass it to an open man and look for a seam to make a run or go down the wing and cross it into the box. When do you use the "finesse shot"?

I also have a hard time getting control of the right man on defense. I lowered the auto switching to 1 click and that helps, but is there anything else I can do?

Thanks to all that I've played so far and to the rest, looking forward to our matches.

Two good, close games with Mac

Scotland 1
Norway 0

Norway 0
Scotland 1

I was pretty fortunate in the first game generally being outplayed and pressured, McFadden coming up with the game winner in the 90th minute.

Second game I started out of the gate quite fast and kenny Miller put Scotland ahead to stay, with Norway coming close in the second half to tieing up the game.

Best wishes,

Doug

You're being generous Doug;) I couldn't get anything going offensively in either game. Your passing was a bit much for me although I was able to get key tackles when I needed them (for the most part). I totally thought I had a goal on that volley in the first game:)

Well I felt like I spent alot of time in my own end in the first game just hanging in there with some key defensive tackles. I man-marked Carew and also tried to box him out as he is absolutely deadly when he gets into the box.

I thought you had a shot or header that Gordon leapt up to punch away that for a second I thought was going in. You had some really nice runs down the wing and were unlucky that one of your forwards couldn't turn the ball into the net.

That penalty I took in the second game was pretty risible and suitably ridiculed by your keeper!

Best wishes,

Doug
