OK! The league is all reset and we can all start playing our games against each other for the "EURO B League" championship. B league being the fact that not one of our teams actually qualified for this years tournament:)

Hey, I'm Slovak too (I like to cover all the slavic bases that I can), and we're limited to 3.5 stars :)

All that you get via e-mail is the score :(

We might have a problem unless someone can help me fix this. When I started the league I had picked Portugal as my team, since then we changed to the 3.5 star team rule and now when I start a game I'm still Portugal.

Any way to fix this without dissolving the league???

No he can join. We're gonna have to restart and pick new teams (sorry Macca). Dougb1 noticed some weird stuff with the in game score reporting so watch out for that.

NEW LEAGUE INFO
Name = DSP EURO 2008 take 2

Sign up as your 3.5 star max team.

We are now playing three games against each other. I thought that there was a two game option but this time around it either gave me the option of 1 or 3 games.

SIGN UP FOR THE NEW LEAGUE AS SOON AS YOU CAN!!!!

Sorry for the mix up

I'm going to keep my Scottish squad so we can fight over the whiskey filled water bottles! :D

Great fun playing again Macca - Have to remind me centre backs not to dally across in front of the net. But there so used to getting away with that in the Scottish Premiership. Maybe I can get Dave to come in and verbally abuse the team before a game.

Best wishes,

Doug

Yup,

That was a lot of fun. Given made some amazing saves in the second game or it would have been a lot closer. Next time I think I'll need to get someone to take out Robbie Keane though! :D

It's terrific the way we were both able to play those through balls in this game which were impossible in Fifa 08. I'm really impressed with the game and the improvements they managed to put in from the last version. What's amazing is that Fifa is starting to morph into Winning Eleven (constant improvement, smart execution of good ideas) while Winning Eleven appears to be morphing back into Fifa (hopelessly broken features, backsliding or lacking in improvement from one version to the next).

Hopefully I'll manage to pick things up so we can have a league re-match.

Best wishes,

Doug

Sounds like you guys are having fun. Why is Macca not playing with Canada? Is it too late to join? If not, what teams are available? When does the league end? Am I asking too many questions?

Haven't been online in a while. I heard rumors that some of you attribute this to my deteriorating skills. Sad, but true... Hope to see y'all soon...

P.S. Comments of the sort "what skill? there was never any to deteriorate!" will not be appreciated, Rob... :D

Fans took to the streets and gathered at the stadium hours before the first match kicked off yesterday. The atmosphere around the stadium was electric with the smell of food and the sound of music filling the air. Beautiful women could be seen in every direction flying their nation's colors.. or in some cases were showing more than just their nation's colors which was fine with this journalist. It was not just beautiful, half naked females enjoying the festivities, Mums and Dads with kids in tow were also well represented. At one point I witnessed a young toddler boy kicking a ball around and as he lost control of the size 3 ball, it rolled right to a young female fan dressed in ... well... not a lot. His eyes were too young to really understand the beauty standing before him or the fact that 90 percent of her shorts were missing and 5 of that 10 percent that was left was nestled nicely where his eye's couldn't see it. With her wavy hair flowing freely to the base of her shoulder blades she knelt down, both "sisters" hanging freely in the very cropped scottish flag top which upon standing didn't quite cover all she had. She handed the ball back to the little boy with a wink and a kiss on his cheek. Something tells me his Dad was very proud... or jealous.

Anyway.. The ball has dropped on the new season. Ireland is out of the gates with two victories while the rest of the clubs lace up the boots and hit the pitch this weekend. Football season is back and life's eye has regained it's twinkle.
