So why do US ships regularly patrol the Persian Gulf then?

Why were the RDF and CENTCOM formed?

Well, we're kind of...in a war...over there, or so I thought. Maybe it's just a ruse...

Some of you guys have been saying that Obama is the media darling and can do no wrong, but I think the media has given McCain a free pass while this fight between Obama and Hillary has been going on. McCain has been going back and forth on so many issues lately and the press is ignoring it. This guys IS the Rep. nominee and he needs to be scrutinized like everyone else. I can't wait until Obama becomes the nominee so he can stomp McCain in head to head debates.

These were formed in the '70s and early '80s.

Just so I'm clear on this:

You're supporting your contention that the media doesn't go after McCain enough with a video consisting of clips of the media (CNN, NBC and MSNBC) going after McCain?

Jack, should you ever actually run into the phenomenon of logic please don't be scared. It won't bite.

Personally I hope that if gas prices ever do drop that the federal government does the wise thing and hold the prices level, taking in the excess as taxes. Europe pays higher taxes on fuel, and frankly I would rather impose such a use tax than general taxes going towards transportation funding. Keeping higher gas prices would also encourage more fuel efficient car purchases in the US.

We've had trouble out of those assholes for at least that long, and if we didn't have a presence in the Gulf, Iran would've already attempted to destroy Israel.

As to the RDF and CENTCOM...maybe you can explain why they were formed, since I don't know, and apparently you do?

Thanks, Rob. I've noticed an increase in the use of sigs here at DSP and I've been looking for one. This one is perfect! :D

There is some logic here.....although I admit it may appear a little cloudy at first

Let me try and explain better....
Most of these clips are several months old. Since Obama and Hillary have been going at it, McCain has been sliding along without much to answer to from the media. My point was that there is plenty of material out there to question him on, but they have stopped recently, for some reason. These clips point out how McCain has said conflicting and opposite comments and has changed his stance several times. Why isn't he held more accountable for that? I guess the Hillary/Obama conflict has given them "juicier material"? I hope that once the Dem. candidate is declared, we will see McCain have to readdress these issues.

It's simple-the media are not interested in McCain...yet. They're too busy fawning over Obama and/or Billary to care about McCain. He's not getting a pass...he's getting a momentary reprieve.

Looks like Hillary is making a last ditch effort to appeal for the FL votes.
She is saying she is winning the popular vote??? Even if they count FL, she is NOT winning the popular vote
http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls ... count.html
so what's the point? She cant count Michigan in her argument because Obama wasn't on the ballet. This display really shows how she is all about her own ambition and could care less about the party.

She's a Clinton. Their desire for power and media attention is all-consuming.

Any questions?

Take care,

I live in New York state. Unfortunately, she'll return to her "adopted home" -- carpet-bagging biatch -- and do absolutely nothing for the Empire State as U.S. Senator while continuing to use it as a platform for her national aspirations.

Take care,

Well, her home state of Illinois looks like it's going to have a vacancy at Senator. That would be funny as s***. Of course being a citizen of Illinois I would never want to see that happen.

I'm no fan of the Clintons, but that description pretty much fits all of America :)
