Are girls or boys easier to raise?
My gf is pregnant and is due the first week of June... I was debating in my head if I wanted it to be a boy or a girl. Number one was to have a healthy baby. Turns out it's a girl, and she's perfectly healthy and between 6 and 7 pounds max... I was hesitant at first, but I'm more and more excited every day.. I have a secure financial future, and I'm 25 which means I'll be 43 or so when she graduates highschool, and not a 55 or 60 year old like some of my friends dads were... Now onto my question: Are boys or girls easier? I'm a bit worried, since my gf matured when she was like 10, and if that is the case I'm gonna be dealing with boys calling the house at 11pm once she is in jr high... s*** by then, I'm sure kids will have cellphones at age 7
... What do you guys think?
I have a pair of each. Neither one is easier. Boys get into crap that you can't believe...you are literally going "what was he thinking???". Girls tend to be sneakier about it, but they both have their challenges. In general, boys will get into more trouble, but girls make you worry more. But either one is an absolute blast, and you'll learn more in the next 20 years than you ever thought possible.

They are both a joy though. I think I worry too much about my lil girl.
We are the same as you, Son is 12 Daughter 9. Some say its the 2nd child whos a pain whether boy or girl.
Both will challenge you in different ways.
But my girl is way more difficult, it is karma as she behaves more like i did as a child so they say.
Boy was i a pain in the rear.

I'll chime in as I have a 6 year old son and a 4 year old daughter. I do think girls are definitely more of an emotional roller coaster. They're a heck of a lot more senstive. The littlest comment can set them off in to an all out wail. My son too is a bit sensitive as well, but not near as bad as my daughter. He probably whines just as much as my daughter. That drives me nuts!
