Indeed it was. He might be getting a call from the league office.

All Philly had to do was play disciplined in the third, and they coast to a win. Now, it's 3-2, and the Habs are pushing hard.

.
I have to agree with Engblom...The penalty and ejection was enough punishment for the goon.

LOL. Only 18 months off mine cause I turn the TV off sometimes when I sense them beginning to go goofy. I watched the whole thing tonight, though.

No you don't. He's been spotty as well as the Habs D, but you certainly have to believe in the kid. B. Gainey took a huge gamble in trading C. Huet and during the regular season I questioned the trade. He's still only 20, but to fair, the whole team needs to pick up the pace, they could easily be down 3-0 in the series. Price is one of the reasons MON advanced to the second round but he's not the same guy...neither is Hasek (benched), Theodore or Nabokov for that matter.

Was I the only Flyer fan expecting the Habs to tie it late? :)

Certainly looked that way, but I thought they had a good chance of holding them off. I did say to my friend that if MTL ties this game in regulation the Flyers may as well not come out for OT and just forfeit the game. Once MTL scored that first PP goal the Flyers looked sapped of all their energy and initiative.

I agree...you play the kid....but...it is So tempting the way he has played. Not just the softness of the goals but the way that he looks completely lost...

Iginla, Ovechkin and Malkin nominated for the Hart Trophy today.

The winner is an obvious choice. But who would you choose as No. 2?

I would select Malkin by a nose over Iginla. Iggy is a great all-around player, but Geno almost single-handedly kept Pittsburgh afloat when Crosby was injured.

Take care,
PK

Tough choice here but my second vote goes to Iggy Pop.

NYR-PIT, game three of the series, second intermission, probably the best game so far of the playoffs. Fasten your seat belts for the third period...

Sounds to me like the Flyers are gonna have to beat the Habs just to teach those Pens a lesson.

From the look of Price last game, you will probably get your wish. I know the Flyers won 5 of 8 vs the Pens this year, but then again, the Pens only took 3 out of 12 games against the Sens and Rangers in the regular season.

The two 5 on 3's the Pens killed tonight at the start of the second period really showed exactly why they are unbeaten so far through the playoffs. Watching them give up their bodies to block shots time after time was a thing of beauty.

Atlantic division represent, 3 out of the final 4 teams in the East

After last night's games it looks like the Flyers/Habs series is the only one with any left to settle. Didn't see that coming.

Me neither. Are Pittsburgh and Dallas that good?

I still have my doubts about Detroit, as neither Nashville nor Colorado are that stiff of a test. The Wings will face a much tougher challenge against Dallas. If they dust off the Stars with ease, then I'll become a Big Red Believer.

A Philly-Pittsburgh Eastern Final will be fantastic. What a treat for Pennsylvania hockey fans -- Pa.'s Hatfield's vs. McCoy's on ice!

Take care,
PK

I am equally surprised by all those teams being up 3-0 in the series. COL has some injuries and Theo is still struggling, last night DET was just playing at ease with them. The only series that I think it's closer than what it should be is the Rangers-Pens' one. Boy that E. Malkin can shoot from the blue line. SJ had a tough break as Marleau's goal should have counted and Turco never knew where the puck was, still they can't seem to score on him. How much they have left in the tank for tonight's game?

Go back to page 5 lads some guys predicted all these wins.

And yes Dallas is that good, every year i look for certain things in teams and usualy once i see them that team usualy wins the cup.
Right now Dallas is that team.
Gotta feel good for Matty Nordstrom and hes the reason im rooting for Dallas.
Detroit do look real good Wings Stars is a matchup not to be missed.
