So, let me ask a stupid question.
Maybe I just cannot find it, but is there a place in the dashboard where you can just view all memory sources? Like in the System Blade of the XBOX 360, you can go to memory, select device and see what all is saved on it, how much memory is used up and how much is left?
As far as I can tell, there is no way to see how much space is available on my HD in the PS3.

Right on man, thanks. I don't expect to come close to filling up the 60 gig's anytime soon. It just would be nice to browse your memory sources and see what's up, if you know what I mean.Jimmydeicide wrote:The only help i can give PR is when it gets low it will tell you on the dashboard mine flashes,
"memory low only 500mb left" something like that but i only have the 20 gig.
I really like the PS3 as there's a lot of things to like. However, I think MS really knows what's up when it comes to their dashboard and obviously XBL.
Sony's a ways off in those two departments.

Looks like I will be joining the PS3 club this weekend. I have a lot of Best Buy gift cards saved up and decided to spend them on a Blu Ray player. The PS3 still appears to be the best BR machine for the buck, and being able to play The Show this year is a very nice bonus. I appreciate everyone's impressions in this thread you all provided a lot of great information.

Welcome aboard Brando. There should be a pretty large contingent who own the PS3 now at DSP. Hopefully, Sony can clean up some of the online issues with The Show. If so, it will be fairly easy to get some online games in with those of us here.Brando70 wrote:Looks like I will be joining the PS3 club this weekend. Now that is something I will be looking forward to. I do not think I have played a baseball game online with anyone from here. As a matter of fact, my last diamond purchase was MVP 05 and the College game they put out a year later and the only person I played online with those was my uncle, so I am looking VERY forward to playing with you guys when it comes out. Of course only once I play it and learn the game so I don't get waxed to bad LOLsportdan30 wrote:Welcome aboard Brando. There should be a pretty large contingent who own the PS3 now at DSP. Brando, this exactly what I did about a week or two ago. Decided on getting a Blu-Ray and the PS3 just made too much sense. Being able to play the Show is definitely an extra bonus.Brando70 wrote:Looks like I will be joining the PS3 club this weekend. WAHOO! I got my Valentines Day gift from the wife tonight. While at shopping, she told me to go pick up a PS3 that I have been wanting and a couple games.
I got a 40gb (no need for BC as I do not own a PS2 or any games anymore and the hdd is upgradeable) I purchased Ratchet and Clank (I thought my son would really like it and I was right) and I decided to wait on another game and just rent a few. Plus, The Show will be out in a few weeks. I just order a Dual Shock 3 from Ebay and my HDMI and Optical cable should be shipping soon from Monoprice.
I am like such a little kid when it comes to new "toys" LOL. This thing is NICE. I do not have my PSN account setup yet as I am changing my Live gamertag and am waiting until I change that so I can make them the same.
I will have some impressions later but so far SO GOOD! Feels good to be dabbling with the dark side LOL.

Picked up the 40G PS3 and brought it home. Have to admit, it's a very impressive piece of equipment and packs a lot of features into a $400 piece of hardware.
I also grabbed the Blu Ray copy of Blade Runner and watched that. The picture was just stunning. Even with a non-1080p plasma, I couldn't get over how sharp everything looked. I loaded my older DVD of Blade Runner and there was just no comparison. However, I was impressed with the upconversion of standard DVDs. We watched a couple of episodes of Lost Season 3 and the picture was even better than the Sony upconverting DVD player I had been using.
I probably won't play any games on it until The Show comes out in a few weeks, but overall I really like the machine. I feel like I'm getting the most out of my plasma now.

I have that TV and love it.dbdynsty25 wrote:Since everyone is buying new sh*t...I felt I had to go get a 37" Vizio for my office so I can play the crap out of the Show 08 without the woman worrying about me jacking the tv all night. The only problem is that the 37 is too big! Oh well...lol.
