I am thinking more like Rob. Unless this game gets stellar reviews on most webpages and good impressions here, I have no interest.

No shot power meter, and CPU automatically selects if your pass is airborne or ground? Weak.

This might be a good multiplayer game, but Wii's online setup is so weak I wouldn't get much use for multiplayer.

Lastly, after playing COD3 on Wii, I have learned that pointing at precise spots on the screen for any length of time while playing is generally a miserable experience.

Two new in-game videos. Looks pretty slick!

Be interested to see if if suffers from the same framerate problems the other next gen console versions suffer from. If this version isn't pretty good konami are going to be absolutely roasted.

OTH, Fifa 08 single player is an absolute shower. It looks and sounds pretty but there is a lot of ugliness in the gameplay just underneath the surface. The players pretty much run on rails and the cpu intervenes to make sure the human controlled player is disadvantaged. Teammate AI won't lift a finger to help either. The physics appear to be the same scripted crap EA assigns to all its franchises.

Next generation soccer has been a real disappointment outside of Fifa on-line play.

Best wishes,

Doug

These are two absolutely brilliant videos featuring the Japanese version, Winning Eleven Play Maker 2008. Soccer will finally be awesome on the Wii.

Nice find.

Orchestrating a beautiful goal with these controls is going to feel really rewarding.

I think it's the same as PES 2008 for 360/PS3 - early march.

Here's an advanced tactics gameplay video. This game looks incredible. Definitely my most anticipated Wii game of the year.
