Probably not as many as you think, unless something has changed statistically baseball games don't move a lot of units. I've often been puzzled why that is.

PS3 will move when MGS or the next FF come out.

Having said all that I would kill someone to get this game like next week :)

Preview from 1up.com They sure aren't too impressed with some of the fielding glitches......Then again, I don't remember too many from last year. The one that sticks out in my mind is when bunting for a hit. It seemed like it was too easy to do. The A.I. fielding pitcher would fail to cover first base. Anyways, here's a brief preview.

http://www.1up.com/do/previewPage?cId=3165806

EDIT: It sounds like they were reviewed an early version of the game according to the developers.

Just take a look at their review of last year's GREAT game. The average editor's rating was a 5.5. 5.5 for MLB07: The Show!? Are you kidding me. It is easily the best baseball game of the past 5 years or so and they gave it a 5.5

Kolbe's (developer of The Show) response to 1Up's preview.

3) Our fielding is quite a bit better than last year at this point - sure there are still infrequent times when it doesn't do exactly what you expect, but I've never played a baseball game that does.
4) Relax folks - please just relax. This isnt a presidential vote we're waiting on, it's a game. Remember that when you're talking to each other in this and really any thread on here

I remember reading 1up's review of the PS3 game before it came out last year and being worried. Then I played it and thought whoever did the review must've been smoking crack, because it was like we were playing two different games. If my memory serves, they failed to realize that you needed to "pre-load" throws on defense. Looks like they (1up) still have the same problem. At this point, I could care less what they think...having played the Show for the last 4 years now, I know what to expect and I'm positive I'm gonna enjoy it.

Perhaps that's a reflection of how baseball really isn't the national pastime anymore? Though I wonder how many consoles Madden moves.

Best wishes,

Yea,that will be a game killer for me
That was sarcasm directed at JRod's quote.

1Up gave 2k7 a better score than The Show, that pretty much sums it up.

Well said.

For those that have played this game the last few years, I really don't think reviews are going to matter.

Reviews will matter to casuals.

I agree. But, ultimately, if casuals play the game on a kiosk in walmart or gamestop, they'll forget about the 1up reviews of the world, pretty quickly.

You can do it via a wireless connection right to the PSP or you can get it at the PSP website. The PSN Store link is below.

Hey guys, I have like 200 bucks credit still on some toys r us cards from last Xmas.

I was thinking about using it towards ps3, but now I am wondering if I should just pickup a PSP instead, just to get the show for psp.

For those of you who had the show on psp last year, did you enjoy it more than the ps2 or ps3 versions?

For $200 more (then you have to buy the game of course), you can pick up The Show and have a great blu-ray player as well.

The Show is indeed great on the PSP, but in the time I played it, I couldn't imagine playing a full season on it. I say this because over time, my hands would cramp and it was a difficult to concentrate on a smaller baseball. Still, it's a fantastic game on the PSP. I'd just much rather play it on the PS3 with much better graphics and in front of a large screen tv.

As much as i think Dan must get a cut for every PS3 sale I am going to agree with what he said here. The PSP version is good and all, but it's a good reason (or excuse) to buy a PS3 and join the Blu-Ray cool crowd.

Of course disregard all of this if you don't have a HDTV
