Wedneday Night FIFA OTP (1/23)

Folks:

Who's up for some FIFA Online Team Play tonight? Some full private room games would be outstanding if we can get it going. I'd love to try some more 8 vs 2 or 7 vs 3 games, too. I was on the 8 side last time, so I'm more than willing to 'slum it' with the two-man team once or twice to let everyone get a taste of that 'almost all locked' flavor. That is, assuming you guys are interested in that stuff as much as I am.

Anyhow, 10p est is the time to get started. We can begin with the 'us against the randoms' until we get enough for some private games.

I'll probably join in again next week, but I just wasn't up for it last night after last week's miserable session for me. I'm realizing more and more that teamwork is a major draw for me with online gaming, even shooters. Sorry to disappoint you.

Nope. Team play is just endlessly fun for me, so full of variety it is.

The serious flaws in the foundation of the gameplay engine are actually becoming even more annoying to me than they were at first, but then there is a moment of great teamwork, or an outstanding, competitive game, and I'm not caring too much about all the FIFA extra touch, turning the wrong way, 'I was trying to go to yellow but it went to green' stuff that is ubiquitous (not to mention the bulldozer method for scoring, so effective with the top teams).

I'm in.

I am enjoying locking on to a striker (for a soccer fan but a novice to the game it's a good way to get into it).

Perhaps I will try my hand at defense tonight. Not sure. Either way, I'm there.

So, MasterSporta mentioned that you actually can get ten on ten in this game. I'm not sure I believe it, but I'd love to try it. Apparently once you stuff ten guys on one side, you can get ten more into the room, or something like that. At least it seems that you can get more than ten in a game, if not fully twenty. That would be pretty cool, I think.

Sounds dangerous, like we might rip a hole in the space-time continuum. Those are powerful forces that we're tinkering with.
