Gametrailers has a couple of new movies up. The HD gameplay movies look great.

Wish I knew how to post a picture...Kolbe's latest picture of the day over at OS is pretty stunning, IMO. I cannot wait to play this game:

GT,
Are you referring to the new Dave Roberts pic? That just looks fantastic. I'm really impressed at how far they've come in just one year with regards to the player faces. I'm sure we'll see our fair share of generics, but the ones I've seen are pretty much spot on. That Mark Grudz(sp?) was unreal as well.

I wish people would stop talking about this game since it is 2 months away and I can't see this s*** for 2 months it will make me insane! I have no self control.
I can't wait to see some RTTS videos, I wonder if they did something with the fielding camera or actually made fielding mean something. I really love the RTTS mode it was by far my favorite time waster of last year.

Even more info to wet your appetite. These new added animations I'm reading about just add to an already wonderful product.

Seriously, this game is the greatest game ever made. 2007 was incredible, and 2008 sounds like a sick upgrade. 40+ days is too long to wait.sportdan30 wrote:Even more info to wet your appetite. These new added animations I'm reading about just add to an already wonderful product.

My only gripe/hope is that they fixed ONLINE PLAY.

I remember one year High Heat came out around Valentine's Day, and folks around here (it may have even been SR back then) were b*tchin about it, saying the rosters wouldn't be as accurate as they would be if it came out later.
Not me. Any time after the Super Bowl is fine with me for a baseball game to come out. How sweet would that be this year? Even if it meant some backup catcher was on the wrong roster. I'd live with it.

I agree. With the way roster updates are in this game (once a week basically) what is wrong with an early release? As long as the game is truly finished and they are not releasing it to "beat" others to the punch. I would love to play the game for a few weeks and get the feel for gameplay, sliders, new additions, etc. Once the up to date rosters are released then you can instantly start your franchise. Bring on an early release as far as I'm concerned.lexbur wrote:I remember one year High Heat came out around Valentine's Day, and folks around here (it may have even been SR back then) were b*tchin about it, saying the rosters wouldn't be as accurate as they would be if it came out later.

New shot of the Ballpark in Arlington: http://forums.operationsports.com/vBull ... 99&page=32
I must say this one is shaping up nicely... I have to say I'm intrigued by MLB2K8's gesture based pitching model, but the pedigree of the MLB08 series combined with these screens makes it seem like a must-buy.

I love that screenshot of the Ballpark in Arlington. March 4 can't come soon enough for me. As a big Cards fan, it's going to seem a little weird not having Jimmy Ballgame Edmonds, Rolen, and Eckstein on my team this year, but I'm looking forward to seeing how the new guys play. Hope they have a good stance for Ankiel.GameSeven wrote:New shot of the Ballpark in Arlington: http://forums.operationsports.com/vBull ... 99&page=32

Fellas, please don't flame me for this, but I have never played The Show.
But on that note, I am getting a PS3 soon and right now this is the first must buy title for me. I was a HUGE MVP fan and tried the 2k's the last few years but they just didn't satisfy my ball diamond needs. I must say, just by looking at the images etc......this game looks fantastic and I have heard some of you rave about the series long enough LOL.

Yeah...that doesn't make me too happy but 15-13 and a 3.33 era certainly doesn't say "best pitcher in the league" to me. You better hope he was hurt at the end of last year. Still...he's better than every other pitcher available at this point so the Mets basically stole him from Minny. He'll certainly be better in the National League...but then again, we've seen a few stars in smaller markets flame in their first year in NY. Here's to another!jLp vAkEr0 wrote:So I hope the default rosters reflect a certain "best pitcher in the league" on his new team.

And Seminole...if you've got a PS3...you're in for a treat.
