In freakin' game saves! FINALLY!
Nice point Rally. You might be on to something. How about a syringe labeled B12 in every package that you get to inject yourself with...You know, without ever asking questions. Just trust us, it's B12.

Also the ability to look at the box score of any game of the season. There is also a video clip on ign that looks great. A very small thing and matters nothing to baseball, but kind of cool nonetheless, is that at the 25 second mark they show the ball going into the crowd for a HR and you can see a beach ball bouncing around.
The game looks really really good though and from all the things they have done it sounds like it is going to be great.

I don't blame youslyguy wrote:I like Howard. But not to crazy about the Philly fans
Being a TRUE Philadelphia sports fan I get very annoyed at the "spoiled brat" attitude of many Phila. fans. I realize its in every city but I just can't listen to some fans talk about sports. Nothing is worse than having a conversation with someone who thinks they have a grasp on a sport and they are, in reality, clueless. That being said, it is also very annoying when ALL Phila. fans are stereotyped. There are good ones out there...really.

Looks like they have Howard's stance fixed. The past two years he was just given Thome's stance. Pic 3 shows me they have it fixed. I know that sounds picky (and it is) but one of my favorite things about the game is the unique batting stances and animations.snaz16 wrote:8 or 9 new ps3 screenshots of Ryan Howard at WP...

It's not picky at all...I also hated how they got lazy with a few of the stars (Andruw Jones bothered me, shocking, I know). He had changed his stance two years ago, and not until the PS3 version, did they fix it. The PS2 version (and PSP) were still his old stance on last years game. I'm happy they fixed it...too bad he's on the Dodgers now...lol.Diablo25 wrote:Looks like they have Howard's stance fixed. The past two years he was just given Thome's stance. Now why did they have to go and show Howard crushing one against the Braves...that's crap!
Look at the bright side you can go see him play alot more now.dbdynsty25 wrote: It's not picky at all...I also hated how they got lazy with a few of the stars (Andruw Jones bothered me, shocking, I know). I really liked Andruw's stance in the PS3 version...very unique. I actually used it in my career. Sounds like there are a ton more animations and styles in this year's version. Looking forward to the game...as usual.dbdynsty25 wrote:It's not picky at all...I also hated how they got lazy with a few of the stars (Andruw Jones bothered me, shocking, I know). It's THE best sports video game I think I've ever played. To me, it's definitely a system seller. It's just a great representation of the game of baseball. Presentation is top notch. Game play is absolutely amazing.Zlax45 wrote:Is this really a system SELLER?
Now that there are more than a few excellent non-sports games on the PS3, it just solidifies my enthusiasm for the console. Plus, I LOVE the blu-ray player.
I wish my 360 had such strong sports games!!!sportdan30 wrote:It's THE best sports video game I think I've ever played. To me, it's definitely a system seller. In all fairness, the 360 still has the better overall sports gaming experience. Hopefully, the PS3 will catch up to the same level this year. That said, I'd still rather play The Show more than any sports game on either system, PC included.
If you love baseball games then it is a system seller...to me at least. As stated above, the PS3 is slowly starting to gather some momentum with some solid games. Plus the BluRay player is very nice. In the past two months I have really started to enjoy the functionality of my PS3. The media server capabilities are very nice. I stream a lot of videos and movies I have ripped from DVDs from my PC to the PS3. Its also a very stable system...unlike the 360.Zlax45 wrote:Is this really a system SELLER?

If you're a baseball fan and have the means to pick up a PS3, it's a no brainer IMO. Best sports game I've ever played, period.
Did anyone see this pic that Chris or Kolbe posted over at OS? Mark Grudzelanek (sp?) almost looks real.
