Guilty. The game itself is pretty good. The control scheme takes some getting used to, but after a game or two it's pretty much second nature. I can see some broken TVs as a result of sailing controllers...ScoopBrady wrote:Did anyone pick up High Velocity Bowling yesterday? I'd love to hear some impressions.

Would love to hear impressions guys.
Also, would love to hear impressions on Drake's Fortune.
Great download day for the PS3 gamers.
I'll be expecting your PSN news and updates now that you're back on the PS3 team.

A fairly brief GTHD Prologue review. A fine score indeed. When does this demo/game arrive?

Famitsu = Gamespot of Japan
Seriously, they've been losing a lot of credibility over the years. Hell I think they gave WE/PES 2008 9s across the board - this is a game that was BROKEN. I think they're too polite to give a game a bad score.
For me, after playing the prologue demo (from Japan) it's the same old same old with a bigger field and nice car interiors. Unless a lot's changed from the demo, I'd rather play Forza or PGR.

It may be the prettiest.
That might count for something.
I've read from those who have seen or played it, it looks no better than Project Gotham 4. If they fixed the AI then i'll buy GT5 but not the prequel. The series has been passed up by Forza. Hopefully they can fix the issues with this game before GT5.wco81 wrote:Rodster wrote:I hate to pull a JRod but i'm not impressed with that review, why? No mention of AI behavior. It looks like they have addressed cockpit view, damage, online mode, and more than 6 cars on the track at once. In order for the game to be considered a racing game it will need a very good racing AI. If they can improve the AI then it should be a very solid title. If not i'll still consider it just a pretty driving game with pretty cars.
Other games have already had better techicals -- more AA, more filtering, more polygons, etc.
But Polyphony has some secret formula, which for the lack of a better term could be attributed to style or art direction.
Prologue is suppose to have a London track. I guess that could be compared against the PGR games.

No doubt. I skipped the last Burnout installment. But I really ejoyed the demo.sportdan30 wrote:The Burnout demo is a blast to play. I love the braking and turning in the game. Glad to see they got rid of or at least let you turn off the checking.
A definite purchase for me.
Plus for me, Burnout was one of the most fun games to play online against my buddies.

Just a heads up that there is a demo for The Club on the European PSN Store and a demo for PES2008 on the Japanese PSN Store. The PES demo has probably been there for a while but The Club demo just hit a couple of days ago. All you need to get these demos is a Japanese PSN account and a UK one.

For those that enjoyed Super Stardust HD:
http://www.ripten.com/2007/12/13/super- ... n-support/
Apparently, there will be a update for the game that enables split-screen cooperative mode and clan support.

It's available in the UK PSN Store but can't download it yet.
Looks like a cool update for a very good game.

Downloaded this demo last night and yikes... I was expecting something much better looking, and much better playing. Won't be picking this one up like I thought I would.ScoopBrady wrote:NFL Tour demo is up. Unfortunately I'm going to bed and the PS3 doesn't let you turn it off and continue to download like the 360 yet. I'll download it tomorrow after work though.
The graphics were not very next-gen looking, the announcer was irritatingly bad, and the control/gameplay was anything but smooth. Lot's of clipping issues too. If you are going to put sideline barriers in the game, then spend the time to make the player models interact with them correctly.
