I haven't seen any "Rock Band/Poker Night" threads and was wondering, why the heck not? Does the game not play as well online as offline?
Also, what's the deal with not hearing the vocals online? How does that work? Is there a replay where everyone can just sitback and watch/listen to what they just created?
I am still on the fence about getting this, just because I would be playing mostly solo, unless the wife wants to try some vocals???
Get it. My wife saw me singing and she got interested so we formed a band and she is doing fairly well in Medium difficulty. She doesn't play any game so this is refreshing to say the least.
I want to play more online with this, but right now I am focusing on unlocking all the songs first in solo mode.

My wife loves this game and she is not a gamer. She likes singing and she can play the drums/guitar on easy. I love how different members can choose different difficulty levels.
It's a sad day here in our offices as I had to outlaw the playing of the drums today during lunch break as it was getting to loud for the non gamers in our office.
Also I had to outlaw my singing of Wanted Dead or Alive as well as it was causing strange feelings in our female employees
Guess it is back to Halo 3 during lunch.

Spooky (or anyone else)..... I know you have some real drum experience. This game has made me realize my desire to always learn to play the drums, but the noise it would create has stopped me. Question is....should I forgo this game and bite the bullet and just get an electronic drum set? Then I could control the volume in my house. The other idea I had would be to learn on real drums in a studio somewhere and pay for lessons. I...like yourself...play guitar, but always thought I would have been a better drummer. I would like to find out before I get too old to rock

Woah...woah...slow down there Tex...
An electronic drum set of any quality at all will cost you MUCH more than Rock Band and will probably leave you with less overall fun right off the bat.
Plus, most of the electronic drum kits are just as loud (pad wise) as the RB kit. If you want to control the stereo volume of RB just play with headphones. And in all seriousness, playing RB on drums WILL give you almost the exact same sensation as playing real electronic drums but with a full band to back you up. Drums in RB are as close as you can get to playing real drums where the guitar in these games is nowhere close to playing real guitar aside from some slight hand eye coordination comparisons.
I think RB is a much more reasonable and fun start to getting a feel for drums.
My son has a drum kit in the garage that I thought I'd teach myself drums on... Never happened. However, with RB, I feel like I'm getting a feel for what it takes to be a drummer, and having fun at the same time.

Thanks Spooky...thats exactly what I wanted to hear
The only thing stopping me now is all the reports of hardware problems.
I am wondering if they will come out with a "new and improved" model soon.
Yeh you should wait until they release the double neck guitar and a drum set with double bass drums and the new keyboard addon i here they are releasing a flute slash recorder in conjunction with the release of the whole Enya catologue.

lol.
You know that these companies like to use the general public as their testing ang quality control dept. If everyone starts breaking the drum pedal, then they will come out with a sturdier model.
I didn't care for the colored felt so I cut mine smaller so you could still see the color outlines. I used a small bowl as my template and an Xacto knife to cut it all out. Took a whole 30 minutes. Works well I think. Check the video out in the tutorial link from DaverJ at AVS.

I want to get this game for the drums but I just can't seem to bring myself to pull the trigger. I'm not a guitar guy but I would love to give the drums a go. I guess its good that the bundles aren't readily available.
Has anybody made it Green Grass and High Tides on medium drums? Man I despise playing that song on the drums. The first 60% is fine, but then you hit that guitar solo, and the drum line is fast and super-repetitive for several minutes. It's like torture. I can get 5 stars on everything up to that point, but can't beat this song to save my life.
I should have my bundle by Wednesday I'm looking forward to playing some Police songs, among others Can't wait to try the drums.
My roommate from college invited me to his house for a New Years Eve party. His wife was talking about renting a karaoke machine for the evening's festivities. I might just have something a bit better Should be a fun night.
I am in the same boat as Scoop -- the missus picked this up for me but I can't open until Christmas. She heard they were going fast and we saw a couple at Target, so she decided to just get it while I was with her. Can't wait to play!
