I agree. I was amazed they kept kicking off to Cribbs, especially after that go-ahead FG late in the game. I thought there was no way they'd let Cribbs get anywhere near the ball. Sure enough, they kick it right to him, and he takes it to midfield. That crazy FG doesn't even happen without Cribbs' return. You gotta wonder what Billick's thinking there.

The kick was good ergo the kick was good.

Billick is a stroke.

Agreed. Glad the refs changed the call so it is right. Hate to be the browns had they blown that call.

It's always a sad time when you realize your team not only sucks, but it's going to probably take 2-3 seasons to fix everything that's wrong, and that's only if you make all the right personnel moves. I reached that moment yesterday during the Bears-Seahawks game. Ugh.

Oh well, at least they didn't lose to the Jets.

I'm also not sure what I enjoyed more yesterday, Seattle kicker Kris Brown celebrating like Mark Gasteneau after making a fundamentally sound tackle on Devin Hester, or Maurice Jones-Drew knocking all the steroids out of Shawn Merriman's body with that vicious block.

He's an offensive genius. At least, that's what it says on his business card and on his secret tattoo. :)

Redskins were so close yesterday. Sooooo close. If Campbell doesn't make that bad throw at the end that Newman picks off (he said after the game he should have run, should have hit the safety 'head to head' or something like that), then it's up to the Cowboys to make the final score to win. Alas, it was the D that really screwed the pooch with all those scores to T.O. Maybe if all the injuries hadn't happened, this season would have been better. Maybe if Taylor was in the backfield, T.O. isn't running quite so wild back there. Maybe, maybe, maybe. Now they have to go 4-2 down the stretch just to have a hope, the slightest hope, of making the playoffs. At least they didn't lay down and die, but they fought and fought and kept coming back. Maybe Campbell will end up being a good QB someday.

You mean coaches at every team not in Mass, Wis, and Indiana.

Oh well. So much for the playoffs. How this team can come out so poorly in the 1st half, then absolutely dominate in the 2nd half, yet lose, is just the most frustratingly painful thing I can remember. It's not like they're completely inept, as in the Schottenhenimer/ Spurrier days, but they still seem to find ways to lose. I thought if they could play the way they did in Dallas, they could beat anyone left on their schedule, but they sure as hell didn't play that way in the first half, with four fumbles leading to 19 TB points. So close, once again. Sonny has said that he thinks the 2-minute, win-the-game drive is the last piece of the puzzle for a pro QB, so maybe Campbell will put it together at some point and win one like that. For this season, though, they need a miracle to get into the post season at this stage. Ouch.

Gus Frerotte inside the 5 on last 3 plays in the last minute. Misses a wide open Isaac Bruce for the game winning TD then fumbles the snap on 4th and 1.

Yuckky...Good thing the Rams are 2 -9 or my TV would be D- E -D dead.

OK so looking at the standings in the pitiful NFC, we're still not out of it. If we had won, we'd be in the driver's seat, tied with 6-5 Detroit but ahead of them on the tie-break, since we beat them. depending on what happens here in the OT Arizona-SF game, and assuming the Igles will lose to the Pats, we're not out of it yet. It's not pretty, but we're still alive. One of the Washington Post guys mentioned that it's entirely possible the skins could go into the final week against the Cowboys at home with a 7-8 record and still have a chance. I guess right now, that's still true. Ugly, but true. I sure hope it doesn't come to that. God damn, we should have won today (and against the Igles, and against the G'nts, and even against the Cowboys maybe, and. . . .ugh).

I feel your pain...really, I do. The Eagles blew games against the Bears and Packers, and could've easily beaten the Skins the first time they played. That's football, I guess.

Wow Broncos...they turned what should have been a 34-13 win into a loss.

Why teams still kick to Hester I have no idea.

I know the Bears won't do much even if they do back their way into the playoffs, but that was a great comeback and it keeps the season meaningful for another week.

I just saw Hester's returns on NBC, from end-zone cameras.

I guess Bears don't get called for blocks in the back.

The refs had nothing do with the outcome of that game...Was all Hester and Shanahan the genius.

Was hella fun to watch though :D

Just like the Broncos don't get called for holding.

Hey I just saw those plays and saw one of the gunners on one of them falling face forward to the turf because he got shoved from behind.

They will call it for a lot less contact than that from behind.

Don't know about the rest of the game.

Well Eagles had it going but got kind of conservative with their first series in the second half after forcing the Pats to punt.

You can't blame Shanahan for that loss. His offense put 34 points on chicago. You can thank Hester and Broncos defense for that win.

Isn't it generally a bad idea to trade with teams in your own division?

What possessed the Dolphins to give the Pats Welker?

Just because they didn't know how to use him, why give him to a division rival?
