No. The fast-pace and respawns are huge for me, and I will spend 90% of my time playing like the beta, which I loved. If I wanted a slower-paced hardcore game with no respawns like GRAW or R6, well I'd play GRAW or R6. I don't think a one-hit kill mode would necessarily kill the pace in the beta though if everything else stays the same.

Just in time for this game ( and I just got GH3) my 360 crapped out.

Was playing GH... stopped and was going to play NHL08. PUt in NHL08.. GRIND, GRIND... unplayable disc message. Thought maybe the disc was bad but it doesn't work on other discs now either!

Getting a coffin sent to me now.. probably be without it for a month. CRAP.

Only two more days til those of us sad sacks who didn't get to play the beta get our first taste of COD on the 360. First Halo 3 loses out to TF2, now TF2 gets shelved for COD4. I wish they'd stop making such sweeeeeet games for the 360:)

Well, I received the automated call from Gamestop today that said the game would be in the store Monday afternoon!

Looks like we'll be playing some COD4 tomorrow night.

Cool. I'll hit a couple of stores today, see what I can find. I can't wait for this one! It's been a while since I can recall being quite this excited on the eve (or maybe even day) of a release. I was up for Bioshock based on expectation, but I'm psyched for this based on expectation and a samping of what I'm getting from the beta.

Unfortunately, though, this game may ruin my plans of taking advantage of the cessation of Daylight Savings to get up earlier and go to bed earlier!
'Just one more map' will kill me!

Join the boat James...mine crapped out on me Thursday night. Hope to get the coffin today. I only live one state away from the service center so my turnaround times have been decent; 13-14 days after the call. Hopefully this one will go as smoothly.

I wonder if the PC version hits stores today as well.

I preordered from Best Buy but haven't gotten a shipping notice yet. I'm trying to plow through the Halo campaign before it arrives, because I think CoD4 will be pretty hard to put down.

Not just reserves...I didn't have it pre-ordered but GS sold me a copy over lunch. Looked to me like they had 4-5 PS3 copies on their shelf unaccounted for, and the guy said they just learned yesterday that they were going to be able to sell them today.
