The only problem for me Dan is that it's probably going to cost $39.99 and it won't have rumble. Also it will have a limited amount of cars and tracks. I'd rather wait for the full version for $20 more.sportdan30 wrote:FYI on GT Prologue. Good news for PS3 gamers.

I bought Everyday Shooter a couple of days ago. This is a really well designed abstract dual stick shooter (a la Super Stardust, Geometry Wars). It reminds me alot of Rez since every action/reaction has a nice little musical note and each stage has different methods of chaining for high scores.
Fun game if you like this sort of thing. Only thing missing is an online leaderboard.

Hobbes,
What did you think of the GT 5 Prologue demo? While I understand that it's essentially the demo of the game that will be a demo of GT 5 (no, seriously) I have to say I'm kinda underwhelmed. I really like the cockpit views and love the 16 car fields (this is awesome) I thought the graphics were good but not as good as PGR4 and the AI seems to be the same bumper-cars crap since GT1.
The replays look nice though.
For anyone else interested the demo lets you race a 2 lapper on Suzuka using 4 ot 5 different cars. The actual GT5 Prologue has 30 cars, 5 different tracks and online play for 16 players.

Sounds like our impressions are pretty similar. I remember my jaw dropping when I first saw videos of the game but the demo left me pretty underwhelmed. I thought the demo would keep me from wanting to try PG4 but it's been just the opposite...Macca00 wrote:Hobbes,

So the series still has the same moronic Ridge Racer type AI? No i'm sorry at least the AI in Ridge Racer actually tries and race you. If what you guys say is true about the AI i'm going to pass on this driving game. GT5 is a reflection on the entire PS3 platform. Over hype and under deliver.Macca00 wrote:Hobbes,

So it took them a gazillion cell processors to incorporate a driving view and 16 cars on the tracks with crappy AI. I can believe it, then again that's Sony for ya.
