All PS3 related, unless of course I purchase a 360 come holiday season with the new cooler chips and quieter hard drive. Hence, a more reliable console!
NHL 08 (depends on how it plays on the PS3)
NHL 2K8 (leaning towards this as it plays at 60fps....get your head out of your arse EA!)
Hot Shots Golf 5
NBA 2K8
Fifa 08 (maybe)
PES (depends on which soccer game interests me the most)
Ratchet and Clank
COD4 (looking oh so nice on the PS3)
Rock Band (eh, maybe)
College Hoops 2K8
Sing Star (maybe)
Assassin's Creed (most likely)
Haze (exclusive to the PS3, most likely)
Unreal Tournament (doubt it, but I'm intrigued to rent at least)
Unchartered: Drake's Fortune (100% yes)
Eight Days (sounds very interesting)
GT Prologue (Defiitely)

Yeh, kinda funny when you have shootouts in the car one hand on the wheel one on the mouse ,awkward but fun. i dont think you can skip the driving so i made the most of it by setting up the wheel. Gets in the way when you get out the car but hey the joys of realism and limited desk space. Make sure you give it a go.pk500 wrote:Jimmy:
Yeah, that's the one. It's like GTA but set in the 1920s and 1930s.
I didn't know you can set up the wheel for driving. I'll try that -- cool!
Thanks,
PK

I am now at the most difficult part of this year's purchasing cycle. I have Guitar Hero III, COD 4, and Mass Effect staring at me in the next few weeks, and a Best Buy gift card I can use for one. I actually can pop for the other two, but the bigger issue is time: when the hell am I going to be able to play all these games? GH is hard to resist because it's such goofy fun. COD looks both great as an offline and online game. Mass Effect looks like a game of the year candidate. Plus I just got Halo 3, I am enjoying PGR 4 as much as PGR 2, and NBA 2k8 is also pretty top notch.
I'd like to just buy one more game between now and Christmas so I can play what I have, then maybe catch up on the others later. So, what say ye, DSPers -- what are your real must-buys in the next couple months?

Nothing but mods and add-ons for rFactor, NR 2003, GTR 2, NHL 08, Madden 08 and Rugby 08, and they're all free.
Take care,

I'm really looking forward to COD and CHoops. From the "now for something completely different" department, I'm also thinking about picking up the Simpsons game whenever it's released, or maybe Ratchet and Clank (I enjoyed the demo for both games and currently have nothing like either in my library). I've also got to question when the hell I'm going to find the time to play these and the other games I already have, but that has never stopped me from buying before.
Got COD4 and Ace Combat 6 on preorder. The COD wait has made October longer than I wanted it to be!
Assassin's Creed is shaping up to be a purchase.
Mass Effect will most likely be a GF'er.
The sports games from here on out will all be GF.
I'd love to get my hands on one of the Guitar games, but will wait to see what the consensus is. Will NOT pay 160 bucks for Rock Band, however cool that idea is.
